It’s hard to believe it’s already been 2 years without you. I miss you and your bear hugs often. I’m constantly amazed by the morals and work ethic you instilled in all of us grandkids just by being you. I wish I could’ve seen your reaction when I told you I was moving halfway across the country to play volleyball and chase my dreams. I wish you could come to Florida and visit me…mainly so I can watch you people watch the crazies down here and get a good laugh at you shaking your head. Grandma signs every card with “remember grandpa has the best seat in the house” It’s comforting and gut wrenching at the same time. Being at the lake, your favorite spot, is a weird combination of feeling closest to you and having nothing but mere gratitude for the hard work and sacrifices you made to make such a special place for our family but also grieving the summers you should’ve gotten to enjoy it all. Cancer is one of the most unfair, evil, devastating things that comes from this broken world we live in, but thankfully we have eternal hope because Christ has already overcome ALL!!! I would do anything for one last game of Sorry! with you…and I guess I’d have to let you win just this one time. Miss you gramps.❣️❣️❣️ by @abbie.rayee
