"House of Secrets" a Senior Thesis Short Film, SCAD

A comedic telenovela built in a single studio location with one key constraint: no paint. Every design decision had to work harder because of it.

The color palette was built entirely through textiles and set dressing, with a red Persian rug anchoring the space, teal velvet upholstery, warm spice and mustard in the soft goods, deep navy curtains framing the windows. Decorative plates standing in for wall detail. Ivy at the crown molding for vertical interest and warmth. A large-scale Virgin Mary portrait as the dramatic focal centerpiece, tonally perfect for the genre.

Production Design by myself and @jad4sinternet We operated as the full art department in preproduction with the help of 5 set dressers during production.

Six locations. One story of loss, love, and finding your way back.
Curtains for walls, carpet for floors, and set dressing to move through time. Proud of what this team built for Calora.

A shop & home that changes as its owner decides to stay. This project was a reimagined set design for Chocolat (2002), built while studying in Lacoste, France - exploring how a space can carry emotional arc the same way a script does.

Two people. Seven sets. Zero budget for mistakes.
@jad4sinternet and I were the entire art department on Molly — a short film about loneliness, love, and dating apps.
Our benchmark was the bedroom. We inherited a boudoir photoshoot set and rebuilt it as a lived-in early-20s male bedroom — set decoration, deliberate clutter, relit from scratch. When crew arrived on shoot day, several assumed it was a real living space.
That's what production design does.

BY DESIGN 🌸

Writing this script healed my inner child when she had no black representation in the media and art industry. Big thank you to my main girl Sydney ( @sydney.coleman_ ) for dedicating her all to this amazing role. Thank you to my beautiful co-director Kat ( @kat.gryy ) for helping make this vision come to life! This is to the black girls who don’t know their beauty!
