𝐅𝐄𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐄 𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐔𝐑 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐓 ?!?!?!

I genuinely don’t even know what to say anymore… 😭

After finding out I’d made the finals for Best Photography Services in the UK, I honestly thought that was my “pinch me” moment for the year..

And then THIS landed.

I’ve also been shortlisted as a finalist for Female Entrepreneur of the Year 2026 at The UK Small Business Awards, representing Llanelli.

This one feels different.

Because behind the pretty photographs; the weddings, the newborn cuddles and the moments you see me sharing on here, there’s a woman who took a chance on herself. A mum who wanted to build something of her own, doing something she genuinely loves, while creating a life she could be proud of.

There have been so many moments of self doubt. So many late nights editing. So many times I’ve wondered whether I’m actually good enough to be doing this. And somehow, little old me and my camera have ended up HERE.

To be recognised for my photography was already more than I could have asked for.. but to now be recognised as a female entrepreneur too? For the business I’ve built, the risks I’ve taken and everything that happens behind the scenes? I’m bloody proud of myself.

I started this because I loved taking photographs. I kept going because I realised I was building something bigger than I ever imagined. And most importantly, I’m doing something I love while showing my little boy that sometimes you really do have to take a chance on yourself.

I’M A FINALIST 🥹📸🫶🏼🥂🇬🇧✨

I genuinely don’t even know how to put into words how proud I am writing this..

Abbie Dodd Photography Ltd has been shortlisted as a 2026 FINALIST at The Official UK Small Business Awards, representing Llanelli in the category of BEST PHOTOGRAPHY SERVICES! 🏆📸

Out of tens of thousands of small businesses across the UK, I’ve been selected as National Top 50 at the UK Small Business Awards Grand Final with a chance of competing for National Top 10🥹

This year they introduced additional questions and even tougher entry criteria and only businesses and individuals who surpassed those criteria made it to this stage. To be told that my selection is a testament to my skills and commitment to my craft honestly made me emotional.

Photography is so much more than a job to me. I pour such a huge part of myself into this little business.. every wedding, every newborn, every family, every gallery, every late night editing, every message, every tiny detail.

There have been plenty of moments where I’ve doubted myself and wondered whether I’m actually good enough… and then something like THIS happens😭

Well… this is a moment I’ll NEVER forget.

I’m absolutely bursting with pride to announce my new partnership with Scarlets Rugby as their Commercial Photography Partner!

When I started Abbie Dodd Photography, I never imagined that my little business would lead me to opportunities like this. What started as a passion for capturing moments, telling stories and making memories has grown into something beyond anything I could have ever imagined.

To have been personally approached and headhunted by such an iconic Welsh rugby club because they recognised something in my work is honestly one of the biggest compliments I could ever receive as a photographer.

I’ve already had the absolute pleasure of working with the team on a number of shoots, and getting a little glimpse behind the scenes has made me even more excited for everything that’s to come.

Building a business from the ground up takes so much love, determination, hard work and if I’m being completely honest; a fair few moments of self doubt along the way.

With hard work, kindness, determination and a little belief in yourself, you can achieve things you once thought were impossible. There have been late nights, early mornings, sacrifices and moments where I’ve questioned whether I’m good enough. But there has also been so much growth, happiness and an overwhelming amount of pride in what I’ve created and achieved.

As a local girl, having the opportunity to work alongside such an iconic Welsh rugby club right here in West Wales, makes this even more special.

To the team at Scarlets; thank you for recognising my work, believing in my creativity and trusting me to capture the people, passion and stories behind the club. It’s a privilege I will never take for granted.

And to every single person who has booked me, recommended me, shared my photographs or simply cheered me on along the way; THANK YOU. Every bit of support has helped me get to moments like this.

A little reminder to myself that sometimes the dreams you don’t even dare to dream become reality. Here’s to a very exciting new chapter for Abbie Dodd Photography. What a bloody year 2026 is turning out to be.

Welcome to the world, little Hallie🌷

The tiniest little fingers, the sweetest little toes and a whole lot of love wrapped around one beautiful little girl. From the way Rhian and Dion looked at their beautiful little girl; to the sweetest cuddles with her very proud Auntie Mali (who has already got the most important job of spoiling her rotten and making sure to supply the best lipgloss😜)

These are the moments I adore capturing. The little details, the quiet cuddles, the overwhelming love and all those tiny things that change far too quickly.
