Now that's August I figure it's a good time to post my 24th birthday pics from March 😃
Something here that sticks with me is the message to future Abbie: "everything has turned out okay, and will continue to do so." Seeing the people in these pictures is a great reminder that I'm loved out here. Living through these past few months of 24 has turned out to be super eventful, but the biggest burdens that haunted over me have breezed by. And as I look onward with what weighs on me now, I know that I can get through it, and that I'll have a support group with me to either support me through it and/or celebrate with me on the other side.
Here's to the next 6-7 months of 24. Let's see what happens. 🥂

One year (Jan 26) and two birthdays (Feb 15, March 2) in the past three months... there was a time where I never would have thought we'd get here, and I've never been happier to be so wrong. Just when I thought it couldn't come soon enough, and I was itching to be done, here it went. I finally graduated from DU as an MFJS major last weekend, and it really hit me hard today. It was wonderful being alongside some of my loved ones- including childhood best friends from across the country and my best friends from college I had the honor of walking across the same stage with, and many others i couldnt fit into instagram's 10 pic limit. I would not have had that weekend any other way.

Capstone photo dump-
Despite learning that I should NOT design four shows in one sitting, I'm so glad I got the experience of doing so for each of them. I was the sound designer for two (Final Interrogation on 9 and Southern Ridicule, referenced on 3 and 7), costume designed once again (Mercury and the Magic, 5 and 6) and I tried my hand at set design for the first time (Forgetting to Remember, 8) peep me in my element (stress) on the last slide
I wish I could fit more photos in one post. I learned so much, bonded with many people and even though it might have been one of the hardest parts of the year it was also one of my favorites, and has been the first time I designed for capstones too. I can't say enough how much I love having this opportunity as it has helped me find what I think can be my true calling in the Theatre. Thank you to all the directors tagged and team members, actors, faculty etc for making it happen. 🥹

So much has happened this year. I don't have the words to adequately describe it all. There were many highs, many lows, and many firsts, and there's only gonna be more from here. Here's to the end of 2022-2023 (a very delayed post once again) and thank you to everyone that made it happen and pulled me through it. 💗 by @abbierae.menard
