Love this trend and this was an incredible nostalgia trip for me Avid reader from age 3 📖 #bookstagram #booksta #booksthatshapedme by @abbiereads
Currently reading 💚 This is as beautiful as any John Green novel, I can just tell I’m going to get my heartbroken and I am so ready for it by @abbiereads
Two books I read last year, and really enjoyed, are now out in paperback! Jennifer Niven I first knew from reading All the Bright Places when I was 14 - this new adult fiction from her looks at a 1960s sitcom family on and off screen. Discussing empowerment and the rise of feminism, and how easy it can be for families to fall apart, I think Meet the Newmans is an easy and unique read for anyone who likes Taylor Jenkins Reid and the way she creates her Hollywood world! For Cursed Daughters, I had never read My Sister the Serial Killer so had no clue what I was going in to. I loved the conversation around fate and curses, and the poetic parts that between present day chapters talking of all of the women who came before. Are you picking one up? by @abbiereads
Books I got myself for a birthday (as a bookseller who is tempted by hundreds of books a day) 🍰 by @abbiereads
Meet the Newmans was a joy to read and I feel so lucky I got a proof so I could finish it at the end of last year These sprayed edges are just gorgeous - would recommend this book to anyone who loves a Taylor Jenkins Reid novel 📺 by @abbiereads
First read of 2026! I’ve been meaning to get to it for a while and I’m in the mood for something a little bit different to literary fiction so I’m excited #babel #booksta #books #bookstagram by @abbiereads
2 days till Christmas ✨ I’ve been doing a lot more reading since finishing work and I couldn’t be happier - my 4th book in about a week is Normal People (yes I’m late to the party) and I’m really looking forward to working my way through it, it’s got me gripped so far and I’m liking it more than I thought I would! What’s your Christmas read? #NormalPeople #booksta #bookstagram by @abbiereads
My favourite book, perfect for spooky season 👻 This was my sixth time reading The Secret History and every time I enjoy it more, see more and highlight more I’m not usually one to highlight my books but my favourites might become the exception to that rule ✍🏻 are you a book highlighter/note taker/dog ear-er? #thesecrethistory #donnatartt #booksta #bookstagram by @abbiereads
Weekly report for this week ✨ Reading (and loving) Cursed Daughters by Oyinkan Braithwaite Eating: olives and fresh pasta at @ragupastaedinburgh 🍝 Playing: Everybody Scream by Florence and the Machine, my favourite artist ever so this is obviously on repeat Obsessing: I’m a bookseller now! I’m obsessed with my job, and the fact we can set the fire to make the store cosy now that it’s getting colder Recommending: I got the disposable camera pictures back from my birthday and they’re just such a vibe, also picked myself up a @joinflashback camera so I have the fun of disposable and film but in an easier way - I love it 📸 Treating: LOTS of coffee, and I just got a tour tshirt from my favourite band 👀 excited for this order from @thecliqueclothingcompany Happy Monday everyone, I hope this week is a great one 🫶🏻 by @abbiereads
It’s horror season 🩸 This is my non-fiction read at the moment, perfect for fans of all types of horror, conversationally written and worth the hype! My horror tbr isn’t going very well but this one will definitely be finished soon 🙌🏻 #booksta #bookstagram #horrorbooks #feedingthemonster by @abbiereads
Last months read, I Hope This Finds You Well 📌 I really enjoyed this one as a lighter hearted break from my usual doom and drama books. Fast-paced and funny with a loveable set of characters who really grow throughout, I think this one is worth picking up if you need something engrossing and easy This was a part of my @rarebirdsbooks subscription and I couldn’t be happier because I wouldn’t have reached for this one myself ✏️ #bookstagram #booksta by @abbiereads
Autumn tbr 🍁 This is definitely ambitious (and was a real arm workout to get this photo) but I’m excited to have a stack to pick from, especially as I’ve collected so many horror books this year Any of your favourites in here?
