Abby’s pantry wisdom for busy families:
🔹 Zones that match behavior: overflowing bins = wrong category, ignored labels = system flaw.
🔹 Kid-only spaces: bins at eye level, controlled access, midweek refills to build ownership.
🔹 Backstock is essential: extra groceries need their own home, not crammed in daily zones.
🔹 Decanting isn’t for everything: only when it reduces clutter and makes staples more visible.
🔹 Flex bins & resets: add a catch-all for unpacked groceries and spend 5 minutes weekly to reset.

Her philosophy: listen without judgment, design for real life, and build systems that maintain themselves.

When I taught elementary school in Phoenix, setting up my classroom was one of my favorite things to do!
