Did you know Hiram Bingham, an American explorer came across this📍Machu Picchu, Peru Inca site in 1911 and initiated its scientific study that made it world famous? He was not looking for it, however. Instead, he wanted to find Vilcabamba, the last Inca village used as a refuge from the Spanish conquest in 1572. Thanks for stumbling upon this gem, Hiram!

Have you booked a trip using @tripmasterstravel yet? We cannot recommend it enough! Their level of service from the time of booking to when you return home from your trip is unparalleled. taken in Machu Picchu by @abbtayadventures
