First and foremost, I’d like to thank God for bringing me to Temple University where I grew in ways I could have never imagined. As I look back on the past 4 years, I can safely say that grateful is an understatement. For those of you who may not know, I am a first generation college student who doesn’t come from very much at all. I started working at McDonald’s when I was 14 years old, and stuck with it for 6 years to help pay for my education. I have since juggled 3+ jobs at a time while being a full time student pursuing my bachelor’s in neuroscience. Each and every role has built me into the person I am today (yes, even McDonald’s❤️). Through every challenge and day where I nearly gave up, God dragged me through and made sure I knew He wasn’t done with me. Coming from nothing means you learn to appreciate everything. Every obstacle, every step backwards, every small accomplishment, every job, every failure, every friend, every day on this Earth. The list could go on. If I met you for even just a moment, just know that you were a part of the reason I kept pushing through to get here today, and I couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you all, thank you Temple, and thank you God, I wouldn’t have gotten this far without any of you. This is just the beginning.❤️🤍 Congrats to all my fellow grads!! Go Owls 😉🦉…
