One day, I hope my daughter doesn’t look back and see only the things I sacrificed for her.

“You need to stop being so sensitive.”
For years, I believed that.
So I learned to stay quiet.
To over-explain.
To pretend things didn’t hurt when they did.
But healing taught me something different:
Sensitivity was never the problem.
Abandoning myself was.
Now I still feel deeply.
I just don’t betray my own needs to make others comfortable.
Being sensitive isn’t weakness.
It’s awareness.
It’s empathy.
It’s emotional intelligence.
The goal isn’t to feel less.
The goal is to honor your feelings without letting them control you. ✨
