60(ish) hours of choreography, countless laughs, too many sore muscles, and the sweetest week with SDC. 🩷

Many teams call themselves a family, but this year at Nationals (and leading up to it) showed just how much we truly are.

With our teachers (from near and far), alumni, and families coming together , we have shown what it truly means to be a village for our dancers. This experience is about so much more than the time spent on stage; it is about the growth, the unwavering support, and the connections built off-stage.

Our dancers pour their hearts into everything they do, and seeing them shine is a testament to their dedication. They work tirelessly, they dream big, and they absolutely deserve this moment to be in the spotlight. We are so proud of the people you are becoming! Thank you to everyone who made this great Nationals possible! We have some amazing instructors and families who continue to pour their support into the dancers and the program 😘😘!! by @abby_watson97

What a season.

This year has brought so many changes and adjustments, and I am endlessly proud of how our dancers rose to every challenge. They finished nationals with so many incredible achievements, but the one I am most proud of is the Sportsmanship award.

The people you are off the stage will always matter more than the awards you earn on it. Watching you grow into kind, hardworking, and supportive humans has been the greatest privilege of all.

Thank you to our parents for raising such amazing kids, to our teachers for pouring so much into this team, to Jesse for stepping into so many roles this season and growing into an amazing teacher and to Madeline for being my partner in crime through countless hours of FaceTime calls and always taking care of our girls, and to TyAnne for welcoming me into this family 10 years ago and continuing to trust me to create.

The Human Side of Performance

For a long time, Abby believed success meant achievement, appearance, and constantly trying to prove herself.

As a collegiate dancer, she faced intense pressure, body image struggles, perfectionism, and the feeling that no matter how hard she worked, she was never quite enough.

Over time, that experience challenged not only how she viewed dance, but how she viewed herself.

What ultimately helped her rediscover her love for dance wasn’t another performance or accomplishment…It was coaching.

Through teaching and mentoring young dancers, Abby began to rebuild her confidence, redefine success, and recognize that worth is not determined by appearance, perfection, or external validation.

Today, success looks different.

It looks like growth, resilience, confidence, and impact.  Helping others feel seen, supported, and valued for more than what they achieve.

Her story is a reminder that some of the most important battles happen behind the scenes and that growth often begins when we stop measuring our value by impossible standards.
