POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

2024….what an insane year for my career into media. Started off the year with the most insane Internship at OEG on the digital media team where I did something that little Abby never thought would happen. I fell in love with filming hockey. This whole year I blew little Abby’s mind as I continued working for OEG on the production team throughout playoffs, watching as the Oilers made it to game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals. I Graduated from NAIT with a diploma in TV broadcasting, and got a job with the Edmonton Elks doing social media. I worked at so many cool Events with Virgin Radio and the Bear, started running graphics playbacks for Oil Kings. I started a social media job with the Western Hockey League where I can just make the most unhinged captions on super talented goals from junior hockey players, and finally got a (temporary) full time job at Bell Media as a promotions coordinator.

Needless to say, little Abby never could’ve imagined that this is where she would end up, and every single day I’m so grateful that it is and I wouldn’t change a thing for the world. Well…she might yell at me for having 5 jobs and for not owning a house on the side of a mountain and just skiing all day with my 5 dogs and 3 cats and husband all at 21. But little Abby wasn’t always super realistic….

To everyone that made this year possible, THANK YOU. It was a long, busy, hard, exhausting, fun, overwhelming, tear filled, learning curve and laughter filled year. I can’t wait to keep proving little Abby wrong. See you all next year 🫡🫡 by @abbycunningham__

Photo dump!!! So many pictures to choose from even over just the past couple of weeks but here are some of my recent favourites! Especially with all the snow we’ve been getting, the photo and video chances are endless! (Working on a video edit so stay tuned) taken in Banff Sunshine Village by @abbycunningham__

As my last day with OEG comes to an end and playoffs starting in a couple days, it’s finally time to share one of the many things I’ve been working on the last 4ish months. Any time I had free time I worked away at this hype reel, using all the footage I took during the 11 games I got to film. 99.9% of the footage in this is 100% my own. (The Skinny Vinny high five is courtesy of @themojo5000 )
It’s been a wild 4 months and I’m so grateful for my time working for OEG. More goodbye spams to come…but for now, enjoy my 3min long video that took 4 months to make.

I wanted my last Riverhawks edit of 2026 to be a good one. And this is one of my favs I’ve ever made. Over a month of on and off editing 10 hours to do the first 15 seconds, and a few mental breakdowns but it’s done!

Now I can finish some other projects I’ve been working on!

Took me all season but we finally have a @edmriverhawks edit made with the footage I captured! I had so much fun making this one and huge shoutout to @averychiltonmedia and @katie.wallaceee for helping me when I hit editing creativity walls 😂

I’ve still got 6 games worth of footage I haven’t even looked at yet so another will be made in the next month or so!

Season 2 with the Hawks is in the books! A couple of hurricanes, flooding, Over 7,000 videos taken, even more mosquito bites, karaoke nights, new friends, loads of laughs and a whole lot of memories!

Thank you to the Riverhawks organization for liking me enough to bring me on as the team videographer for another season, I already miss it! (Even though I still have 3 games worth of footage to go through)

And thanks to all the amazing friends I’ve made along the way, until next time!

It’s that time for another photo dump!! I still have to put together a video soon but here are some (a lot) of my favourite shots from the last month or so!

Most of these were pulled as stills from videos so stilllll not really a photographer but I still love them either way taken in Banff Sunshine Village by @abbycunningham__

Quick little edit using the footage I captured during the @newschoolers Sunset Shoot!

This event was so much fun to film and edit and there were so many crazy talented skiers there! So I wanted to make a chill slo mo edit! Nothing crazy or wild or intense, just vibes.

I don’t know all the skiers handles so if anyone knows them give them an @ for me! taken in Banff Sunshine Village by @abbycunningham__

Been working on this edit for exactly a month and figured, why not finally finish it since it’s my last day at SSV! It was so incredibly cool getting to watch and shoot during the @level1 Super Unknown! So many crazy talented skiers were there and I’ve tried to showcase it the best I can!

I’m hoping now that I’ll have more time to make a few more ski edits before I fully switch gears again but what an amazing winter it’s been! More on that to come! taken in Banff Sunshine Village by @abbycunningham__
