ROCC youth camp 2026 - alpine ministries!!

This week was such a blessing from the Lord! From watching younger students give their life to Christ to personally learning more about Jesus myself, it couldn’t have been better! It was also such a gift to meet new people and make new friends, as well as having an AMAZING speaker! Here are some of my favorite notes from the sessions:

- Things will have to be plucked and deeper roots will have to be dug in order for the seed of the gospel to further bear fruit in our hearts. Can Jesus find a place in the soil of our hearts to lay His head?

- Close your eyes and imagine locking eyes with Jesus on the cross. We weren’t spectators there, we were participants. imagine Him wrapping His body around ours. He meant for us to take it personally & deeply. this is not casual apathy; Yet He entered the ring of death, fought hard, and won because of His love for me.

- We aren’t supposed to be a professional on dealing with the consequences of sin- death, sickness, loss, etc.- it wasnt the original creation. we aren’t supposed to know how to handle it but Jesus came to take away death. So when the devil throws flames at us, are we hurling back the Lord’s righteousness, or our own? we need the sword of the Spirit to thrash through the lies & accusations.

- the 4 living creatures have been in the same room, staring at the same man, & singing the same song forever, yet they never get bored. they aren’t bound there, they choose to stay because He is so fascinating.

- Today’s fruit will not come from last week’s devotion. My yes needs to be constant and new everyday. Carrying out the Great Commission, I need to see myself as a sower, a seed scatterer, not a soul winner. We never graduate from being a growing disciple, but we also get to be a disciple maker, a multiplier. So this can’t be done if we hide our talents that the Lord gives us.

- Jesus didn’t keep Peter after he had fallen short because He needed him, but because He had already restored him by His blood & died for him. we can’t let our shame & guilt be greater than the price that Jesus paid on the cross.

2025!! 🫶

This song just makes me want to fall facedown at the feet of Jesus in reverence. Who am I that the God of the Universe has ME on His mind? I did nothing to deserve that, what an honor and a privilege. This year was SUCH a blessing from the Lord! He filled my heart with spirit filled joy and peace everyday, even when it made no sense. Everyday I realize how much more unworthy I am of His love, yet everyday our relationship grows deeper in intimacy. He’s also taught me that if He is going to take something away, He will replace it with something better. What a gift that I have a Father who disciplines and convicts while loving so deeply. His balance of grace and truth is perfect. I have done nothing to deserve this love, yet it overflows more and more each day. Thank you Jesus, my best friend.

I'm so beyond thankful for the things my Father has taught me. He has blessed me in ways that I can't even explain though I am not worthy of it. He reveals His glory to me day after day. He is so so kind. Thank you Jesus! by @abbyfoster08

summer 2024!!
it’s been such a great summer that was such a blessing! All glory to God for all the amazing opportunities and memories :)
verses that align with this summer:
Psalm 119:111- “Everything you speak to me is like joyous treasure filling my life with gladness.”
John 15:11- “I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.”
Romans 12:12- “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer.”
Proverbs 27:9- “Sweet friendships refresh the soul and awaken our hearts with joy.”
The Lord will work in you and with you in amazing ways when you surrender to Him. Instead of complaining about the short summer, we can praise God for what we got!!
we should live as a believer in every situation the Lord assigns to us :) - 1 Corinthians 7:17 keep moving in faith!! by @abbyfoster08

Camp Awanita!!

Jesus, may I always stand in awe of who you are.

The Lord has deeply shown His compassion and deep love for His children this week.

We are beloved by our Father. When He sees us His heart fills with compassion, He runs to us, embraces us, and longs to be with us.

It is so important to spend time in solitude with the Lord. Sit face to face with Jesus. He longs to hear from us. Carve out space for Him to work. It leads to Christ-like centered peace. Run to the secret place.

We live in a community of siblings with Christ! We are called to be on our knees for one another. Community isn’t just sitting in a circle but going before Gods throne.

Jesus has also called us to ministry. Ministry is not something we do, but the fruit that flows from secret time in solitude with Him and Christ-like community. It is not what we do, but Him through us.

Jesus was not a victim, but a volunteer.
He has called us to risk our reputation and die to ourselves! To trust Him more than what others think of us. Life comes from death.

We often focus on the good works and personal gain over purely glorifying God. We often bring our focus to new worldly things over image bearers of God. He finds so much joy in His children.

When was the last time we have fallen on our faces before the Lord?
Turn to Jesus. He longs to be with you, no matter how far you think you are, He loves you.

So so incredibly thankful

“God’s intimate friendship has blessed my house” - Job 29:4

Sometimes we never realize how blessed we are with the health and ability to do a sport. Jesus puts us through trials to help us better understand His love. And He sure has shown it. We fall short time and time again, yet He brings us out to a place of abundance. Jesus truly brings pure joy into our lives and I’m so very thankful for a healthy season. The Lord has guided me through 9 years of this sport and continues to teach me every single day through it 🫶🏼🫶🏼 All praise and glory to God alone. by @abbyfoster08
