One more nostalgic post and I promise I’ll stop 😉. Seth’s first Mets trophy at 5 and his last trophy sitting on his shelf together, how ironic! and I want to thank First Baptist of Albany for hosting the baseball banquet for the past four years and for giving all
of the guys bibles last night! This is the most important trophy of all! They have met with Coach Shiver and the team this past year doing weekly leadership meetings and have instilled a lot in our boys about their growth and their faith and I have seen Seth’s faith and walk with the Lord grow even stronger! This is the ultimate goal! 🙏 by @abbyfranklin17

A very emotional last awards banquet for our Seth and a final chapter closed for our kids in sports! I could go on and on with the thoughts in my heart and mind of all the years but I will say that through all of the ups and downs, highs and lows, frustrations and pride, the thing that sums it up the most is Grateful! Grateful for all of it and thankful for the coaches who invested in our kids through the years who helped mold them into the adults they have and are becoming! We are Grateful to the teammates who have become friends for life and many like our other children! Seth didn’t have the ending we ever expected and he is still having to work through his injury hopefully just a few more weeks, but the resilience he has shown has made us more proud of him than ever! His grit and determination will take him far in life I have no doubt! Seth received the defensive player of the year award and we are proud of what he achieved his senior year both offensively and defensively before his season was cut short! He can always hold his head high and know he left it all on the field until his final inning! #17. Both of our kids wore their Grandpa Erskine’s number with pride and for that I am also Grateful! ❤️ by @abbyfranklin17
