On Friday morning, the world stopped turning. We lost my sweet dad, very unexpectedly. There aren’t words for this. The love that has surrounded me in the past few days is a direct reflection of the person he was.

I will spend the rest of my days striving to be half as kindhearted, funny, and loving as he was. There is no one who rooted for me harder; there is no one who lit up a room as brightly. How lucky am I to have known this kind of love?

The last video is my favorite of him—it’s always been the first thing I showed people when I wanted to give them an idea of who my dad was. The dog days are over. ❤️‍🩹 by @abbyhaynez
