Very very rarely, I write something that feels symbolic of an overall season of my life but here this one is! 🍰 I love my life, the people, the places, the kids, the streets, the “it’s a small world” connections, the opportunities, the parties, big and small - all of it.

I could read this in 10, 30, 70 years and know exactly what I was talking about in each line and that feels special. Needed it to have a permanent slot on this page 💌 by @abbyjfarmer

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted some words and honestly, it’s suuuuuper vulnerable to let the internet see any ounce of my heart. However, if something means a lot to me, it might mean a lot to someone else…aka sometimes it’s better to just turn it loose. And with that, I run back to my Father who gave me the words to write in the first place 🤪

This was written for the first time over a year ago and has been polished and tweaked multiple times since then. I’m met by God in a lot of random places at random times but my favorite might be your favorite too, the back porch. The back porch I originally wrote this on could easily double as a bird’s Tower of Babel just minus the chaos. Volume up to hear them!!

Mom turned 60 today and I’m just completely in awe of her. She’s aged gracefully, she’s more alive in Christ than ever making her more alive, period. To watch her and my dad move through life as an individuals following the Lord rather than young parents sacrificing for their four kids has blessed me greatly. Both are good but one is sustaining and radiant. I love her more than words and I’m grateful she’s mine!

3 John 1:4 says that “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”

I’m looking back through photos from this week just thinking “wow, there’s nothing better than this.” There is nothing better than seeing a massive event pulled off well for the pure sake of connecting teenagers to God. When I think about all the moving parts and sacrifices from those who dedicated their time, PTO, prayers, money, creativity and so much more, I’m humbled to be a part. When I think about watching my girls grow up from 6th grade babies to rising juniors who know and love God, I’m grateful.

Could go on forever but instead I’ll share a blurb from what I wrote after our group time last night - I am certain that the Holy Spirit cares. He cares about my girls and He cares about me. He cares about their lives and He cares about how I lead them. He cares and He is present.

I wrote this in February when I felt untouchable and now in June, I am feeling…touchable? …shakable? …shaken? Rereading my winter words is helping my summer body. It’s almost like the Holy Spirit gave me something to hold onto because I was about to need to depend on Him in my weakness.

One whole year being married! Marriage is a gift and being married to Braydon is the best gift of them all. His kindness still finds way to surprise me and I hope I never get used to it. I can’t wait to see where God leads us in our life! Anywhere with you is where I wanna be 💘 by @abbyjfarmer

In January:

- Bray discovered his love for homemade sourdough pizza
- I cut my hair
- We visited with friends ❤️
- I matched others from the waist down frequently?
- I ate
- I made my FIRST sourdough loaf and I can’t imagine my life getting any better than that moment, hearing that sound 🥯🍞🥖🥨🥐
- We participated in 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting, it’s the best discipline and yearly rhythm! God and His presence is all that we’re after. by @abbyjfarmer
