ABOUT THE ARTIST — Abby Kapp

Hi, I’m Abby — a UK-based Textural Mixed Media Artist exploring colour, light, movement and tactile abstraction.

My work is built through layered acrylics and signature shimmering glitter that plays a vital role in each piece. The reflective particles are used intentionally to create shifting light, depth and a sense of fluid motion — bringing the artwork to life as the viewer moves.

Highlights:
• Followed by Aesthetica Magazine & Hemway
• Growing body of contemporary abstract, texture-driven work
• Developing new collections focused on colour, energy & light-responsive surfaces

I’m currently expanding my portfolio and building my online presence. For collaborations, features or enquiries, feel free to get in touch.

Honoured to be featured with a quarter-page in Aesthetica Magazine.

Frozen Arrows explores direction and stillness — sharp geometry layered with light-reactive surfaces. Seeing this work in print alongside such considered contemporary practice feels genuinely special.

Thank you @aestheticamag and @hemway.official .
A milestone I’ll be keeping pinned. ✨

✨ Winterglow ✨

A final look at Winterglow in its finished space! 🤍

I absolutely love how this piece comes alive in the light ✨ Whether it’s catching the warmth of the sunshine or glowing beneath a lamp in the evening, the texture, geometric shapes and shimmer constantly shift, creating something that feels different throughout the day 💜🩷

Seeing it finally hanging in its space makes all those hours of painting, layering and adding every little detail so worth it! 🤍

✨ Winterglow — Finally in its home ✨

A little look at WinterGlow in its finished space 🤍✨

There’s something so special about seeing a piece of artwork completely finished and then seeing how it actually works within a room — especially when the light catches those little details and the glitter comes alive. ✨

I wanted WinterGlow to feel like more than just a canvas on a wall… I wanted it to bring a little warmth, light and sparkle into the space! 🤍

And I think seeing it hanging here really shows how the colours, texture and shimmer change depending on the light. ✨

Swipe through to see it from a few different angles 🤍

✨ Winterglow ❄️

Two views. One canvas. One question… 👀

Which way would you hang Winterglow?

This piece was designed so it can be displayed in more than one direction — meaning the snowflakes, sparkle, and movement shift depending on how you place it on the wall ✨ Rotate it, and the whole composition subtly changes. Different clusters lead the eye, new shapes appear, and the light catches the glitter in unexpected ways.

One canvas… two personalities ❄️

Soft silver shimmer sits beneath layers of blush pink, deep berry, and rich plum tones, all glowing against a cool grey background. As the light moves, the snowflakes sparkle from every angle — like frost catching the last light of winter dusk ✨

So here’s the fun part…

⬆️ This way up?
⬇️ Or turned upside down?

Which one would you choose for your wall? 👀❄️

Take a step back… Winterglow in full reveals its quiet power ✨

Captured from every angle, the entire canvas comes alive as light moves across the surface — shimmer drifting, glitter catching, and snowflakes glowing differently with each shift in perspective ❄️

From luminous silvers and soft blush tones to deep berry hues and rich plum shadows, the layers unfold like a winter sky at dusk. Every edge stays crisp, every sparkle dances, and the whole piece transforms as you walk around it ✨

Set against its cool grey backdrop, the artwork feels grounded yet glowing — frost-kissed but full of warmth.

This is Winterglow in motion:

✨ evolving sparkle
🤍 full-canvas magic

The cool grey background holds it all still, letting the details take centre stage — like winter light glinting off frost at dusk.

This piece is all about contrast:
❄️ sharp, clean lines
✨ delicate sparkle
🤍 cool winter tones hiding warmth beneath

✨ Winterglow ❄️
For those who love to slow down and swipe through the details…

This is the journey of Winterglow in still moments 🤍

It began with careful drawings — each snowflake sketched by hand on card, planned in different sizes before anything touched the canvas ✏️
Those templates were then placed, adjusted, and mapped out until every snowflake found its permanent home ❄️

From there, the process became one of patience and repetition — sketching, building, and glittering each snowflake individually ✨
One at a time… again and again… until the canvas slowly began to glow.

Soft silver laid the foundation, followed by layers of blush pink, deep berry, and rich plum, all set against a cool grey background. As the light hits, the glitter catches and reflects — winter light glowing at dusk ✨

From paper templates…
to placed snowflakes…
to the final canvas catching the light ❄️🖼️

Winterglow is all about warmth hiding inside winter.

✨ Winterglow ❄️

Every snowflake begins quietly — sketched by hand, mapped in different sizes, each one planned before a single drop of paint touches the canvas ✏️🎨

This piece unfolded step by step: soft silver for the first glimmer, layers of blush pink and deep berry for warmth, and rich plum accents to deepen the glow ✨
Each snowflake was built, glittered, and finished individually — slowly bringing the whole canvas to life ❄️✨

Set against a cool grey background, the colours shimmer and contrast — like winter light reflecting off frost at dusk ✨

From rough sketches…
to single snowflakes…
to the final reveal on the wall ❄️🖼️

Grateful to have my work featured in Aesthetica Magazine (December edition) for Frozen Arrows, and for the beautiful sparkle from Hemway that helps bring these winter pieces to life ✨

✨ Midnight Snow — Final Look! ❄️

A single frame this time — calm, clear and honest.
No multiple angles, just one moment where Midnight Snow sits still and lets the light speak for it!

The blues settle into a cool, wintry hush, while the glitter adds a soft, shifting glow that feels almost atmospheric. It’s one of those pieces that changes constantly in person, but this photo captures the heart of it: quiet shimmer, subtle texture and that frosted, dreamlike energy. ✨

It feels grounding to share this after being featured in Aesthetica Magazine, and I’m so grateful for the continued support from Hemway — both remind me how far this journey has come! 💙

Here’s the final look at Midnight Snow ❄️💙✨

✨ Midnight Snow — Final Reveal ❄️

Here it is — the full canvas, shown from every angle.
No close-ups this time… just the whole piece catching the light exactly as it should. ✨

The glitter shifts with the slightest movement, creating flashes of cool winter blues, soft iridescence and quiet shimmer across the surface. Every angle tells a slightly different story — sometimes bright, sometimes deep, always alive!

Sharing this piece feels even more special after my recent feature in Aesthetica Magazine and support from Hemway, both of which continue to encourage my artistic journey.

Swipe to see Midnight Snow glow in its truest form ❄️💙✨
