August 28th, 2025 — the day my now-fiancé first reached out to me (modern day love story via Instagram DM😂). One seemingly ordinary day that I had no idea would become one of the most significant days of my life.

A little over a month later, October 1, 2025 — we were dating. And exactly one year later, August 28th, 2026 — we are engaged.

Looking back now, I realize God was already writing a story I couldn’t see yet. He knew that the man on the other side of that first message would become the man standing in front of me, asking me to spend the rest of my life with him.
This man loves me so intentionally and I will forever be grateful.

A year ago, we had no idea that one message would lead us both here to where we are today.

Isn’t it crazy what can happen in a year?🥹🤍 taken in New Orleans, Louisiana by @abbyreevess
