He’s making all things new.

Only the love of God could write such a testimony of faithfulness and renewal in my life over the past 12 months.

And yet there are still parts that are tender or not yet healed. Portions of the story that are still unfolding.

But, with full confidence:

Over Christmas, my darling 93-year-old grandmother kept saying to me, “Abby, you know what you’re doing.”

I laughed—because most days, I feel like I absolutely do not. But the more I’ve sat with it, the more wisdom I’ve found in her words.

Aren’t most of us just doing the best we can?

Showing up when it matters.
Being there for the people we love.
Giving a little extra when someone needs it.
Telling the truth, even when it costs us something.

December is such a complicated month. And this one felt especially heavy. But woven through it all was grace. Sunshine. The best girlfriends. And, thanks to many flight delays, an impressive amount of quality time in the Admirals Club.

Maybe knowing what you’re doing isn’t about certainty at all. Maybe it’s just about showing up and doing the next right thing. taken in Coast To Coast by @abbyskeans
