Met some familiar faces from my childhood last week. 😁 “The Cat In The Hat” will be in theaters this weekend. #thecatinthehat by @abc7george
Our neighbors, Karrie & Sean, threw their annual Halloween party last night, so the skeletal cardigan returned! Mrs. P. was a butterfly, with a wink to Dolly Parton with her western wear. 🤠☠️👻 by @abc7george
#BREAKING Actor Patrick Stewart has died at 86. The star of “Star Trek: The Next Generation” passed away at his home in L.A. yesterday after what his family calls a “brief and poignant journey with Alzheimer’s Disease and Lewy Body Dementia.” Patrick had a career lasting more than 60 years. A visit to iMDB.com lists the many projects he’s given us over the years. Time for me to work on his obituary now. May he R.I.P. 🙏 #patrickstewart #startrek by @abc7george
I knew her best as Hal Linden’s wife on TV’s “Barney Miller.” But Barbara Barrie’s career had many other facets. She died today at the age of 95 at her home in Manhattan. Barbara was in the original Broadway production of Stephen Sondheim’s “Company,” earning a Tony nomination for her work. She was later nominated for an Oscar for the 1979 film, “Breaking Away” and would return to that role for the television show version of the movie. TV audiences may remember her, like I did, for “Barney Miller” or maybe for her work on the Brooke Shields sitcom, “Suddenly Susan.” If you’re a fan of classic cinema, she was also in the 1956 movie, “Giant” (it was her film debut) and she won a Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival for starring in 1964’s “One Potato, Two Potato.” Barbara was still acting last year. May she R.I.P. 🙏 by @abc7george
The more I read about Susan Saint James today, the more I’m impressed. Her family announced she died Monday of pancreatic cancer at the age of 80. Susan is best known for her her work on television in the shows including “The Name of the Game,” “McMillan & Wife” and “Kate & Allie.” She pretty much left show business after her last series (returning to acting only occasionally) to live a different and satisfying life away from the spotlight. Her family released a statement reading, in part, “She never met a stranger. Every person she met became the most important person in the room at that moment, from a fellow board member to the clerk at the shoe store, who usually walked away knowing her entire life story. Her defining act: weeks after losing her youngest son, Teddy, in the November 28, 2004 plane crash, she delivered his eulogy as a note to each of her other children and her husband, giving them words to heal. Even in the deepest grief of her life, she put everyone else first.” Susan was nominated for eight Emmys over the years, winning once. There is a lovely obituary on people.com that delves more into her life. It’s a really nice read for fans. I enjoyed learning things I never knew about an actress I always admired. May she R.I.P. 🙏 by @abc7george
He’s a part of sci-fi TV history. Actor Walter Koenig, who played the Russian crew member Pavel Chekov on the original “Star Trek” series, has died at the age of 90. His rep says he passed of natural causes at his home in North Hollywood. Besides his “Star Trek” legacy, Walter was also known for his role as Alfred Bester on another series jn space, “Babylon 5.” May he R.I.P. 🙏 by @abc7george
He was the modern day voice of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and other Looney Tunes characters. Eric Bauza died on Sunday at the age of 46. Bauza’s family first shared the news of his passing on his Instagram account. According to “Variety,” the L.A. County Medical Examiner says the reported cause was hypertensive cardiovascular disease. The in-demand voice actor had more than 400 credits, including the recent film, “Coyote vs. Acme,”’where he voiced several roles. May he R.I.P. 🙏 by @abc7george
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the wonderful Marion Ross! 🎂 The “Happy Days” legend is 98 today! Way to go, “Mrs. C!” by @abc7george
We knew him as the star of TV’s “Shazam!” Michael Gray has died of natural causes at the age of 75. His rep says it happened on October 16. From 1974 to 1976, Gray played “Billy Batson” on “Shazam!” and he also become a teen idol. Along the way. May he R.I.P. 🙏 by @abc7george
Sad to report the death of longtime actor Tom Skerritt who passed away from natural causes yesterday at the age of 93. He had an impressive career in TV and film—about 65 years’ worth of performances. Among his many movies: “Top Gun,” “Steel Magnolias,” “M*A*S*H” and “A River Runs Through It.” TV audiences will remember Tom for his starring role in the 1990s series, “Picket Fences.” I interviewed him several times over the years—always a gentleman. In a statement today, his family wrote, “While the world knew Tom through his remarkable acting career, we knew him for his humor, curiosity, wisdom, generosity, and the love he brought into our lives.” May he R.I.P. 🙏 #tomskerritt #picketfences #topgun #steelmagnolias #ariverrunsthroughit by @abc7george
