have been wanting to try their cheesecakes so here we are! the classic basque burnt tasted rich and creamy, a true classic done very well. gruyère cheesecake board came with apricot jam and cookies, and it really looks like the cheese emoji 🧀 super pretty cake, and it was extremely cheesey like how it looks. i would say this is for exotic tastebuds, bc my family and i didn’t exactly love the first taste of this when we had it despite being cheese lovers 🫪 would probably stick to the conventional cheesecakes next time! drinks-wise pretty average 🍓🍵

quiet cafe with comfortable seating to chill in :) it wasn’t overly crowded and noisy, and we saw many people doing their work here! really enjoyed their iced matchaaa 🍵

got their best seller! could taste the kimchi jam, which paired very well with the arugula and the beef bulgogi. the beef was very well-seasoned and flavourful, though a little hard to chew off for pairing with the rest of the focaccia. focaccia was a little too oily for my liking towards the end, but generally still a very yummy and filling dish 🥪

iced mango matcha latte [4.5/5]
iced sweet potato matcha latte [4.5/5]

i had the mango matcha and my sister had the sweet potato matcha 🍵 very impressive I LOVED how the taste of the mango was distinct and didn’t overpower/ become overpowered by the matcha! the matcha was also rich and not diluted at all 😋 my sister enjoyed her drink too! would come back if im craving a good mango matcha 🥭

tempura mushrooms [3.5/5]

very crispy fried mushrooms 🍄‍🟫 a little oily, would skip this next time to try other food items on the menu.

truffle fries [3.6/5]

good portion of hot and crispy fries. truffle aroma was not very strong though 🍟 would have preferred this to be more salted and flavoured

i loooove mexican food + beer 🍻 might be biased but i just really love the tangy flavours, and how the dishes always feel so rich and flavourful 😋 came here on a friday night and only the outdoor seats were available so i would recommend making a reservation early if you’re planning to head down!

tasty corn cobs coated with mayo and cheese 🌽 honestly very delicious but a little steep for the portion given that there’s only 2 small pieces! quite challenging to eat but thankfully there were disposable gloves :) worth a try

out of the three, i enjoyed the beef quesabirria the most! the consommé was so rich and flavourful that we used it as a dipping sauce for the other dishes to not get flavour fatigue 🐮 the chipotle chicken was yummy too, while the prawn was in tiny bite-sized pieces that paired very well with the onion and lime 🍋‍🟩

super rich and substantial with gooey cheese 🧀 so goodd the quesadilla was packed with ingredients that went so well with the sauces and garnishes. loved this would order this again 😋 taken in Lavi Taco Maxwell by @abccclo

have been seeing the carbonara pasta on tiktok! wanted to go previously but we forgot to reserve and the restaurant was full :( ambience of the restaurant was good with dim light and sufficient spacing. we got a nice table at the side, away from the rest. enjoyed the food here and the price was not crazy overpriced too 🥺

haven’t tried bourguignon before so im not too sure how this dish usually tastes like! first bite and the beef was so tender & soft. could taste the wine in the sauce and the mashed potatoes were very creamy 🥩🥔 portion was a little small tho.

carbonara [4.1/5]
⋆.𐙚 pancetta, parmesan, egg yolk ⋆.𐙚

this was done the traditional way, with no cream and just egg with cheese 🧀 super rich, and the sauce thickly coated every strand of noodle! pasta was al-dente and i really enjoyed this, though i would have preferred it to be slightly saltier with more meat! would be back just for this when i have cravings for carbonara 🥚

cauliflower [3.5/5]
⋆.𐙚 cauliflower, quinoa ⋆.𐙚

everyone was hyping this up but honestly, i found it average. still good, just that i don’t think it’s a must order. cauliflower was well-charred, crispy and nicely seasoned! portion was quite small and it wasn’t a filling side, may be better enjoyed as a snack with drinks on the menu taken in Salt and Soul by @abccclo

very vibey restaurant for a dinner and cocktail night! there are proper seating tables and high chair bar-seatings but the bar-seating may feel less spacious if u plan to get food. this is my second time here and i still love the food sooo much bc the food items here are quite unique and exquisite. love the concept of the place — they have 7 signature cocktails, themed seven sips for seven seas 🍸

sooo good i loved this. never knew toast could be so crispy and at the same time, flavourful because of the sauce. rly love tangy food so the sabayon sauce was right up my alley. they were generous with the crab too 🦀 2nd time having this and i still love it 😋

2nd time having this too! when i first saw it i was quite skeptical because why is there so much broth below the fried squid 🤨 but honestly so impressive the broth is slightly tangy and sour so it went really well with the squid and hummus. such a great pairing and the texture of the squid was so good too, chewy and not overcooked 🦑

rigatoni [3.8/5]

rigatoni was al-dente and they were generous with the ingredients! still very tasty but not exceptional to me, would rather try other options given the wide variety in the menu 😗

i don’t usually drink cocktails but the drink concepts were so fascinating i had to try! this tasted like oolong most with a tinge of alcohol 🍸

my friend got this drink! had it the last time i came and it tasted very fruity, with a hint of passion fruit. very easy to drink without an overly strong taste of alcohol taken in Marcy's by @abccclo

overall quite yummy! top favourites are the prosciutto pizza and the linguine alla vongole 🍕🍝 we were so full after this. nice vibey space with dim lighting and the staff was really friendly too!

this was quite a pretty dish with thinly sliced octopus! good, but not crazy exceptional, hence the rating. not sure if i’ll order this again because the portion is quite small for the price 🥺

saw many online reviews of this! honestly not bad because i could taste the spices in the meatball and it paired well with the polenta 🧆 still enjoyable though it wasn’t extraordinary.

enjoyed this pizza so so much! 4 huge slices in this pizza and i really love arugula with hamm 🍕so gooood they were generous with the toppings too. it was just very delicious 🤤

fresh juicy clams with al-dente pasta 🍝 each strand was evenly coated with sauce and the noodles were very well cooked! loved this vongole pasta because it was extremely flavourful and they were generous with the portion 🐚

⋆.𐙚 argentinian prawns, garlic, chilli, asparagus, datterini ⋆.𐙚

huge portion but somehow i feel like this tasted a little like hokkien mee 🫪 maybe capellini is just not my favourite pasta type but the noodles were a little overcooked for my liking. i really liked the juicy prawns and the asparagus from this dish tho 🦐

pistachio lava cake [3.7/5]

good warm lava cake with vanilla ice cream! pistachio taste was quite by @abccclo

* yuzu jelly $4
* strawberry mochi matcha latte $7.50

i had the 2nd set! my third time back and i rly enjoy every meal here bc the handrolls are so yummy and loaded with ingredients 😋 got the truffle mushroom ragu to try this time and the truffle flavour paired so well with all the mushrooms 🍄‍🟫 aburi engawa, hotate and maguro are my top 3 favourite handrolls here and they were so good as usual! i literally think about this meal from time to time 🥺

for drinks i had the yuzu jelly, which didn’t have a strong taste sadly so can skip this. my friend enjoyed her strawb matcha tho!

my mum said this dish surprised her because the prawn bisque was really rich 🦐 had a pleasant surprise myself because i love prawns and the risotto was packed with such a strong flavour. there are 3 fresh prawns too and they de-shelled the body 😆 would order this again next time!!

mentaiko scallop linguine [5/5]
⋆.𐙚 linguine, pan seared hokkaido scallops,
mentaiko cream, sakura ebi, ikura ⋆.𐙚

my go-to now! the scallops were fresh and juicy with the mentaiko on top 😋 pasta sauce was rich but not cloying, super good pairing with the ikura 🍝

honey garlic wings [4.5/5]

well-marinated wings and i could actually taste both the honey and garlic in the seasoning 🍯very generous with the sauce and portion was good for three to share! can’t rmb exactly but i vaguely recall it being 8 wings so i think its quite worth 🍗

super yummy drinks… idk why but syip’s drinks hit different🧋i had the matcha strawberry and i loved the foam but still preferred the hojicha foam drinks so i’ll probably stick to that the next timee 🍵 taken in SYIP by @abccclo

this is a vegan/vegetarian restaurant! i enjoy vegetarian food sooo much and my vegetarian friend mentioned this being one of the places she frequents 🌱 tofunagi maki was a nice sushi twist and the crispy broccoli was very well fried. best dish was the lucky bibimbap with a runny yolk egg, corn, cherry tomatoes and crispy bits that paired so well with the gochujang sauce 🤤 would be back for the bibimbap!! 🍚 yuzu rose latte was also fragrant with yuzu citrus bits and i want to try the cereal coffee cream on the menu next 🍼

felt so so full and satisfied after this meal. my 3rd time back at huevos! food portions were huge as usual and thankfully there was no queue bc we were there on a weekday around 2pm, and we finished our meal just in time as they closed for their mid-day break ☺️

it was really LOADED. my friend said it was going to be huge but it didn’t click in my head that it would be sooo big. this was filled with ingredients like chicken, guac, cheese and all goodness combined in a bowl 🍗🥑🧀 would definitely order this dish again! good for sharing among 3 😋

one of the most hyped dishes from huevos so i’ve been wanting to try this for the longest time. sadly i felt that it tasted average, but could be because i don’t enjoy cabbage in tacos 😔 i rmb loving the birria beef and carnitas pork so so much tho! with that being said the fish was huge, fresh and meaty. so much bigger than expected!! 🐟 taken in Huevos by @abccclo

our first time trying seviche so we’re not sure how this dish usually tastes like 🦐 sauce was tangy and seafood was fresh. overall quite enjoyable but not sure if i would order this again because it’s an acquired taste. will have to make further comparisons with other seviches i try next time 🐟

surprisingly enjoyed this sososo much. it was my first time trying yellowtail and it tasted so fresh without being overly fishy. the green sauce on top tasted slightly tangy and was such a good pairing with the truffle soy! the truffle pieces inside also added extra fragrance and texture. sooooo good 🫪

otoro sushi (2pcs) [4/5]

i don’t usually eat fatty fish but this was really fresh and it was so yummy 🤤 was afraid that it was going to be extremely fishy but the cut was good and it actually changed my impression of fatty fish 🍣

nice sharing dish with salmon ontop of crispy nori. idk what the green popping things were but it complemented the salmon well! not exactly outstanding but still good. would get again for sharing 😋

tasted like regular lobster sushi rolls, can skip this. pretty underwhelming as compared to the rest of the dishes sadly ☹️

rich pasta with every strand nicely coated with a good amount of sauce. tobiko added crunch and extra flavour to the pasta 😋 scallops were fresh but thinly sliced with only 4 pieces, so i would have preferred if there was more. overall i love everything mentaiko so i still enjoyed this pasta!

gochujang wings [3.5/5]

gochujang glaze, furikake, chives ⋆.𐙚

well marinated and seasoned wings with a rich amount of sauce coating. nothing phenomenal but very enjoyable. quite a small portion of 4 wings for $13 tho 🥺

strawberry matcha latte [4/5]
⋆.𐙚 uji matcha, fresh milk, strawberry compote ⋆.𐙚

so so so good this strawberry matcha latte was not too sweet, not grassy. matcha powder was just enough and the sweetness of the strawberry came through 🍓 could taste it alongside the matcha and my friend loved this drink too 🍵 taken in Hello Arigato Bukit Timah by @abccclo
