Wow. We did it.

29. April fullførte jeg svennebrevet mitt som bunadtilvirker med Bestått Meget Godt ✨️
Jeg tilvirket en Vestfold 1956 bunad sol hovedoppgave med ullbroderi, grindvev med plukk og metallknipplinger som sideoppgaver.

Takk til @marebunad som tok meg inn og viste meg hvordan en fantastisk arbeidsplass og ekte norsk tradisjonshåndverk er💜

On the 29th of April I finished my journymans certificate with highest marks. I completed a Vestfold 1956 bunad and 3 side tasks.

Had the pleasure to demonstrate metallic bobbin lace at Håndverkonferansen 2026 yesterday. This is traditionally used in the Norwegian Bunad. You get gold and/or silver bobbin lace as decoration as well as white bobbin lace as trims on bonnets, aprons and shirts.

Met and got to talk to some amazingly talented people and also catch up with old and new friends.

✨NEW SKILL ALERT!✨

So as some of you may know I’m currently and apprentice (lærling) in the art of making the Norwegian traditional costume Bunad! And since this is such a deep dive into historical techniques and other crafts I’m able to learn so much funn stuff! This is a red listed craft calf gullknipling or in English gold bobbin lace. It involves normal bobbin lace technique but is done in real gold thread. The reason this is red listed is because it’s a dying craft. The lace is used on different bunads all over Norway and one meter of this lace can go for as much as 6-800 dollars a meter!

Im having so much fun doing this and if I get my will I might incorporate this on Zelda! But it takes a lot of time! The three «fans» you see here took me 3 hours to do! It takes a skilled person 12.5 hours to make one meter of gullknipling!

Finally got to compete with my Anastasia Costume that was my bachelor degree! I’m so proud to have gotten runner up in the Master Cosplay competition! It was a blast even though I forgot my kokoshnik(tiara) in Oslo 🥲

This costume is huge! I knew when I made her that she would not be a con friendly costume and you bet I was right! My hips where aching because of the massif weight of the skirt! But she do be pretty tho! 😂🥰

Also realized this shot is super similar to @jedimanda Anastasia shoot! Their Anastasia cosplay was a huge inspiration to branch out and do something more my style for the costume! 🥰
