In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’d like to take a moment to remember a person very special to the Board of A Beautiful Day Foundation, Georgianna Sexton.

We have all been impacted by cancer, and those we have lost are at the heart of A Beautiful Day Foundation’s mission. We are grateful to have the opportunity to honor their love and the enduring impact they have collectively made on our lives.

Earlier this year, we made a contribution to Fight Colorectal Cancer, the leading patient advocacy group in colorectal cancer, through Evan White’s Brews & Blue colon cancer awareness program. Evan was originally diagnosed with colon cancer in 2017. After 6 months of chemotherapy and surgery, and celebrating a year of being cancer-free, he faced a recurrence in early 2019. Determined to turn his struggle into strength, Evan launched the Brews & Blue Bar Crawl, uniting people in the fight against colorectal cancer. His efforts have raised over $100,000 for research, contributing to significant legislative victories like lowering the screening age to 45 and removing barriers to screening. Evan’s battle with stage IV colon cancer ended on October 18, 2021, but his spirit lives on. He embraced life to the fullest, traveling the globe, attending music festivals, and always bringing joy to those around him. Known for his bucket hats, dad shoes, and unforgettable impersonations, Evan was a true warrior—his positivity inspiring everyone he met. We’re proud to have participated in Evan’s lasting legacy. by @abdfoundation_

The 2025 ABD Fall Classic schedule is here! Everything kicks off on 11/8 at 1PM at the Alamo Heights Junior Field for a sandlot showdown between San Antonio’s own SA Roses and Austin’s Eastside Huevos. Come hungry - Smoke Shack BBQ will be onsite from 1 - 3 PM serving up some of SA’s finest barbecue. After the game, take a little afternoon siesta then meet us at Broadway 50 50 for a concert brought to you by Gavin Story. Raffles at both events!
