Summer project installation from a few weeks ago! This was a really fun collaboration with @lasita.la my favorite spot to eat in Los Angeles! A big thank you to Chef Chase for inspiring me with his vibrant cuisine to create this tropical waterfall art piece, installed in the patio of his Chinatown restaurant. We had a fun opening party night of music and good vibes. Also, many thanks to @resy @americanexpress @shiraz_creative_us for bringing me on. taken in Chinatown by @abelmac

Hey guys, I wanted to share with you a step by step of how make to a painting. Step 1. Find something you think is beautiful. Step 2. Draw it. Step 3. Put it on a canvas. Step 4. Pick a color recipe. Stick to 6. You can deviate a little but it helps keep the flavor zesty. Now start to paint it how you see it (this part is fun because you can make your own style and it can be weird). Step 5. Keep doing it. Take breaks. Walk away from it. Look at it at night visualize it with your eyes closed. Think about what you want to edit. Step 6. When you feel likes it’s done, it’s finished. . Don’t touch it anymore. It will get ugly and you’ll regret it. Dassit! by @abelmac

I kept this painting for myself bc sometimes it’s important to hold one you like so you can look at it later and know where to go again. 16 x 20. Oil on canvas. I got good texture on this one. Look when you scroll though. by @abelmac
