👋🏻 July! It brings with it new routes and the climax of the Aberdeen Half Marathon training block.

👟 If you’re looking to join us for the first time or rejoin us after some time away, pop along on Wednesday 1st July at 18:30 at Aberdeen Sports Village. We’ll have some jog leads on hand to guide you into running, whatever your pace or distance!

🏃🏼‍♀️ The Aberdeen Half Marathon is on Saturday 18th July - good luck if you’re running it! If not, feel free to join us in Duthie Park to support the runners. We’re having drinks afterwards from 2pm at Ferryhill House to celebrate. No run on Sunday 19th July - give those feet a day to recover!

🏅 Twenty one runners strong on Saturday 18th July at @abdnmarathon ! Congrats to everyone on finishing the Half Marathon event - whether it was a first time, PB effort, or just getting yourself over the finish line! Everybody smashed it

👟 Tomorrow we’re back at Duthie Park meeting outside the cafe. 09:50 if you fancy a 17km out to Milltimber and back, 09:50 if you’re more keen for 5km. And brunch afterwards for both, of course.

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ RAINBOW RUN 2026

Come along on Saturday 27th June at 11am to Seaton Park to celebrate Pride with Aberdeen Frontrunners as part of @leapsportsscotland Festival Fortnight. We have a selection of short runs/jogs/walks around the park, and we’ll also be having a picnic and some games in the park too.

If you’ve ever been thinking about coming along to AFR, it’s the perfect event for you. The Rainbow Run is a fun and inclusive event that is open to everyone – all abilities are welcome, distances from 1km-3km for runners and walkers alike.

This is an open and free event and is perfect for bringing friends and family! As it’s a Rainbow Run, runners are encouraged to come dressed as brightly and as bold as they feel comfortable - especially if you’ve snapped up one of our limited edition t-shirts as displayed above. Big thank you to our sponsors @somerville_books and @specsavers

EVENT DETAILS:

We’ll be meeting at Seaton Park from 10:45 am. One of our club jog leads will take you through a warm-up and then explain each of the 6 rainbow routes. You can do one, a couple, or give them all a try! You can swipe to see the 6 different routes.

On each route, there will be a jog lead on hand at all times to support you through it.

We will have a central station with refreshments and music for everyone to catch their breath and socialise. We’ve planned a picnic to follow with some park games too. Some snacks will be provided but please feel free to bring your own too.
