Maybe I’m not supposed to “get it together.”
Maybe the tears are the point.
Maybe the breaking is the surrender.
Maybe the overwhelming emotion is simply my heart recognizing the presence of God.
I’ve learned to stop wiping away the tears and start thanking Him for them.
Because if God wants to wreck me again and again, I’ll let Him.
I don’t want a faith that leaves me unchanged.
I want a heart that is still tender enough to be moved by Him.
So yes, I cry during worship.
And I’m not ashamed of it.
“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.” James 4:8

Wreck me, Lord. Then rebuild me closer to You.
