helen day trip with the fam 🤍 here’s what we did with our 2.5 year old! (and 3 month old, but he didn’t have many opinions 🥰)

•stroll downtown - stop into shops or watch people tube on the river
•alpine train ride - $10 per adult, toddlers are free, about a 15 minute ride
•lunch at Paul’s - great view of the river
•playground at Unicoi Hill Park - conveniently located right downtown, spent the most time here!

If we didn’t need our afternoon nap:
•Jumpin Goat Coffee Roasters - 5 minute drive from downtown, amazing views, live music!
•Hoth Cafe - coffee shop downtown, honey themed
•Georgia Mountain Coaster - the minimum age is 3, so we will definitely be back with our lil thrill seeker!
•Ice cream shop - there are several downtown
•Hansel & Gretel Candy Kitchen - for those of us with a sweet tooth 😋 by @abglasper

a love letter:

we haven’t always seen eye to eye
or hip to hip
or thigh to thigh

we’re complicated,
you and I

but the older I get
the wiser I grow
the more I see
and the more I know

the beauty that
all bodies show

when life knocks me down
you’ve held me up
you’ve taught me how
to trust my gut

every curve
exactly placed
you deserve
to take up space

a temple
a haven
my babies’ first home
with you I’m never
all alone

you carry life
you’re strong
you’re bold
you’ll be with me
until we’re old

we’re in this forever
so take my hand
a soft belly means
a soft place to land

thank you, body
for all that you do
because no one knows me
quite like you by @abglasper
