My name is Abigail Peter, and I am a textile designer. My senior collection, Open & Unconventional, is all about designing custom wovens and sheers that utilize open warp constructions and fabric manipulations. My work centers around the relationship between pattern, material, light, and the way structure can shape how light moves through cloth. Post-grad, I will continue doing what I have deeply grown to love, which is weaving, collaborating, and designing.

I’m Abigail Peter, and I’m a textile designer.

“Open and Unconventional” is my senior collection as a fibers student at the Savannah College of Art and Design.

This collection explores the balance of pattern, light, transparency, and structure. My work has been focused on what is most unused in a traditional home, such as delicate lace, furniture that isn’t actually furniture, and fine art with no real function. by @abi.textiless
