Some places leave footprints on your heart. Peru became mine.

Four years ago, I thought I was coming to serve. Instead, I found a family that changed me forever.

Every hug, every smile, every prayer, every goodbye took another piece of my heart. These children will never know how deeply they have shaped me or how much of Jesus I’ve seen through them.

It’s hard to put into words what it feels like to say goodbye knowing this chapter has come to an end. But I know this, Peru has changed me forever. It has shaped my heart to look a little more like Christ’s.

Thank You, Jesus, for letting me love these people, for letting them love me, and for letting me witness Your love in one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever known.

Peru, you’ll always have a piece of my heart. Until we meet again. ❤️🇵🇪 by @abiajamian
