![Come see Vervet Dance's "Semi-Composed," on Saturday, March 28 to see the beautiful Abigail in action!
Abigail Mosier (she/her) is a Philadelphia-based dance artist, educator, and poet whose work engages somatic, collaborative, and improvisational modalities. She holds a BFA in Dance from the University of the Arts with minors in Business and Creative Writing, along with certifications in Pilates Matwork, the Franklin Method, and Applied Stretching Theory & Practice. Abigail has performed in works by Vervet Dance, VAULTA, Sara Shelton Mann, Jessie Zaritt & Niall Jones, Silvana Cardell, Melissa Rector, Shana Simmons, Katie Vickers & Albert Quesada, and Netta Yerushalmy, among others. Her practice extends into site-responsive curation and performance, including work at the Barcelona Tangent Festival and continued research at the International Contact Improvisation Festival in Ibiza. She is currently developing a new solo work to be workshopped this summer through the In Situ Polyculture artist residency and premiered at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival this fall.
Abigail will be performing in "Be[ ]ing" and "Render," both semi-composed/semi-improvised works directed by Loren Groenendaal. "Be[ ]ing" steps into the unknown with sensitivity. "Render" is made and unmade as it goes. Abigails somatic, creative energy will serve both works very well.
