PSALM 92:12-15

A couple weeks ago I FINALLY finished “Practicing the Way” by John Mark Comer and it would be DRAMATIC to say it “changed my life”… but it did🫠🫠

I have a LOT to say (who’s shocked?!?) but a book summary would be BORING and it’s #SUMMER sooooo I’m going to share a quote that marked me instead hahahaha

“Christ now has no body now on earth, but yours.”

Think about that.

Jesus now has no body on earth but yours. Mine.

Our Western-American idea of individualized Christianity and radical self-actualization is actually the OPPOSITE of what Jesus mandates in Matthew 28.

To live like Jesus is to love more fully, to give more freely, and to share one’s lives with others.

In order for the Great Commission to be fulfilled we must recognize that Christ now has no body now on earth but ours.

I read a quote recently from “Practicing the Way” by John Mark Comer and it said “This life is fleeting, don’t miss it.” Something about that stuck with me. Contrary to the infamous “YOLO” or western American idea of independence— this principle, founded by the Saint Francis of Assisi, maximized James 4:14. The idea that this life is but a vapor. So even if it means waking up at 5:30 am just to see the sunrise with a friend— THIS LIFE IS FLEETING DON’T MISS IT by @abigailkozlow

This was one of the most challenging and stretching years of my HC career but I genuinely wouldn’t change it for ANYTHING. I’m so grateful for this place and these people that have championed me into the leader I am today. The best is truly YET TO COME 🥳🥳
