Dear Reader,

Let me reintroduce myself, some know me as Abi but my name is Abigail.

Derived from the Hebrew words ‘Ab’ meaning Father and ‘Gil’ meaning rejoice. It mean’s ‘Father’s joy’.

I recently came to the understanding this meaning is not limited to my biological father.

You see Ab is from the same root word as Abba, a word we use a lot to refer to God.

I want my life to bring Joy to God!

I’m learning to allow myself to be more childlike, like a little girl who wants to make her father proud.

I’m Abba’s Princess 👑

Dear Reader,

It’s crazy how something can be a prayer point for so long, you go through moments of doubt and might even begin to worry. But suddenly God answers it, in such a way you know it can only be Him.

And when you’re on that other side of your request you begin to see it wasn’t as big of a problem as you thought. It wasn’t a matter of if God could do it but a matter of when.

You see there’s an appointment time for everything, and when it comes it will be more beautiful than you ever imagined. We may never be able to fully comprehend God‘s ways but we must trust the fact that when He created us, He wrote our story and had eternity in mind. We are just coming into alignment with that.

So to anyone reading this waiting on their healing, miracle and answer, remember God can do everything. We must trust His timing, have faith and wait on Him. However waiting is not passive, let your faith be demonstrated through your actions.

“Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.”

Dear Reader,

It’s been a whileeee

2025 was very interesting for me.
If I had to give it a title it would be ‘unlearning and learning’.
Why? because it was a year heavy on inner development.
Honestly, it felt like I was in my Job era, so many things fell apart and life took unexpected turns but God used it to teach me so much about myself, especially about my identity.
I learnt that I cannot base my value on external things, like what I do or what I have but the internal, God created me with value. His word says, I am more valuable than sparrows. Even before creation uttered a word or did anything God saw us as good (valuable) so much so He gave us dominion over the earth. And He sacrificed His only Son for our salvation not because of our works but out of love.
So please please please, don’t allow temporary circumstances to cause you to view yourself as any lower than you truly are! You are precious,valuable and loved, the trails you are going through will end in praise!

James 1:12 Happy is the one who endures testing, because when he has proven to be genuine, he will receive the crown of life that God promised to those who love him.

Dear Reader,

I have come in thanksgiving to testify.

A year ago yesterday, I was baptised.
This was symbolic of my return to God.

You see, I grew up in church, but like the prodigal son, I found myself lost in the world. What started as an experiment became my lifestyle. I was searching for a cure for my immense pain, but I was merely treating the symptoms. The permanent solution was right in front of me.

My Father patiently waited for me to return. To be honest, I might have been worse than the prodigal son. I came back many times, promising I would change, only to keep returning to my own vomit.

But in March 2023, after a convicting altar call, I realised that if I had died that day, I would have gone to hell. Don’t get me wrong, the fear of hell shouldn’t be what brings someone to Christ. But I had believed that my church attendance and service were enough to save me. The truth was, I hadn’t surrendered my life to God. I was lukewarm.

From that day, I started taking my walk with God seriously. I gradually stopped drinking, partying and, most importantly, surrendered myself to Him—allowing Him to do a work in me.

I am living proof that Jesus saves.

This month also marks two years since I began my abstinence journey, but that deserves a separate post.

The Holy Spirit gave me this song last year to give thanks to my Father for all He has done and continues to do.

I hope my testimony encourages anyone who is starting their walk with Christ or struggling to let go of bad habits. Walk with Jesus in obedience , and trust that the work He has begun in you, He will surely complete it.
