💜 Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Study Day on Monday 19th October in London. 💜 Paula Abramson from Bereavement Training International said “Seeing how far so many people are prepared to travel to take part in this important training is so heartening and encouraging. Abigail’s Footsteps put so much hard work into fundraising so that these study days continue to be provided free of charge for healthcare and allied professionals. We consistently receive feedback telling us how grateful people are for this training. We know it makes a difference and ultimately, we hope and believe it helps parents feel better supported and cared for at a time when they need it the most." 💜 Thank you to Liberty Specialty Markets for hosting the day and all our speakers, especially Abigail's Footsteps Trustee, Matt Champ for sharing his experiences. 💜 We are fully booked for our funded November online training sessions but please use this link to book for 2027. https://www.eventbrite.com/cc/abigails-footsteps-fully-funded-virtual-training-2374909/ by @abigails_charity
💜 Abigail's Footsteps Vice President Cheryl Baker accepted a cheque for £31,083.68 following a year of incredible fundraising by members of Rochester & Cobham Park Golf Club. 💜 Captain Lee Atkinson chose Abigail's Footsteps as the club's charity of the year for 2026 by who said, "I had previously met Jo and David and was bowled over by their passion and commitment. Our members are always very supportive of our charity of the year, but this year especially so, which may be down to David speaking so passionately and eloquently on day one at Captain's drive in." 💜 The Lady Captain, Kate Gray, added: "It has been a privilege to have Abigail’s Footsteps as our chosen charity. We are delighted to have raised so much money in our Captaincy year. Our members have been exceptionally generous. We have also had a lot of fun at the various fundraising events we have put on, be it wine tasting, golf days, auctions or the many raffles." 💜 Abigail's Footsteps Co-founder and trustee David Ward, MBE, said: "The amount of money raised by the club completely blew us away. We would like to extend our thanks to Lee and Kate for choosing us as their charity of the year, and to everyone at the club who organised, played and supported events." 💜 Find out more about becoming a corporate partner here: https://abigailsfootsteps.co.uk/get-involved/corporate-partner/ by @abigails_charity

💜 Lesley regularly makes and donates beautiful cot liners to be used in the Abi Cooling Cots and has reached an incredible 116 liners. 💜 Lesley said “I would do anything to help Abigail’s Footsteps support parents and families going through what is a very difficult time. I am a grandma whose little grandson, Jackson, was born sleeping. He was able to stay with his mummy and daddy in an Abi Cooling Cot which meant we could all meet him and spend some valuable time with him. Abigail's Footsteps did so much to help my son and daughter-in-law, so when I saw they needed Abi cot liners made, I realised this is one thing I can do to help.” 💜 Lesley embroiders purple feet and hearts on the cot liners and said "I chose that colour and those pictures because they are part of the charity logo. I feel the heart shows we all feel the pain of what has happened and shows love to the families as they are supported through a difficult time. The feet are significant to their beautiful children who were born sleeping." 💜 Lesley includes a card with the liners and said "I wrote the card because I felt I wanted people to understand why I make the cot liners, not only to help Abigails Footsteps to do what they do but importantly to thank and show support to the staff working with families at the initial time of their great sadness, which is absolutely invaluable”. 💜 You can find the cot liner pattern here: https://abigailsfootsteps.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Cot-liner-pattern_Nov-2024-V2.pdf by @abigails_charity

💜 Paul and Kimberley have been fundraising for Abigail’s Footsteps to donate an Abi Cooling Cot in memory of baby King. 💜 Paul said “When we lost our baby on 17th January, we saw the plaque on the cot saying that it had been donated in memory of a baby. This broke my heart and after finding out Raigmore only had one cot and The Highlands being the biggest area in Britain, we thought it would be good for them to have another." 💜 The family started fundraising to donate a second cot to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness. 💜 Paul walked and cycled the North Coast 500, Scotland's ultimate road trip and said "Every mile I completed is dedicated to helping ensure that families experiencing the loss of a baby receive the care, dignity and support they deserve." 💜 Paul praised his support team (John and Carrol) for everything they did during the challenge and said "7 days of riding, 500 miles, £3490 raised. I am humbled by everyone who has helped support my family since the 17th of January which was the worst day of our lives. I am glad something good will come out of something so life shattering." by @abigails_charity
