🏰🌙The Knave and the Moon by Rachel Gillig

What a beautiful ending to this duology 🥹

I loved Sybil’s development and progression from despair to hope. I was so scared the memory loss was going to be dragged out just used to make the plot longer but it actually worked so well and Rory using it to his advantage was brilliant🫠

All of the characters was so unique and true and really stuck with you as a reader 🥹

Will definitely be reading One Dark Window at some point, her writing is brilliant!!

And I’m so happy another book in this world has been announced! A bartholomew tale 🥹🥹🥹

REALLY enjoyed !!

Vietnam, With You 🇻🇳

Vietnam is the next country I’ll be writing about on my Substack which I’m very excited to look back on ❤️

One of my favourite countries from our trip, the people, the food and the culture was phenomenal!

Read Across the World: Lost in Laos 🇱🇦

We didn’t actually get lost - but plans changed and we had a short but sweet stay in the country of Laos 🇱🇦

In this article I take a look at our experience on the 2 day slow boat through Pak Beng, the incredible food, and how I started to find love in reading again 🤍

Let me know if you’ve ever been!

Check it out on my Substack, link in bio <3

Some recent @waterstones and @theworksstores finds! 📚📖

I wish I could have taken them all home to be honest but 1) my bag wasn’t big enough and 2) neither is my bank account 🥲

I do want The Popper War and the Stonewater Kingdom duology in physical as I only have them on kindle at the moment :(((

Loved the look of Hitchhiking Japan and will definitely be reading before my next trip! Can’t wait to go back!!

What have you bought recently? 💛

September Six 🧡

I’ve figured out this year that I think my max amount a month is seven, I’m not a super fast reader I don’t think and this is when it’s what I consider “easy” books or I’m completely hooked ☺️

Had to do some rereads this month because I was in a slump and wanted to reread Forth Wing before Threshing Day (which I still haven’t read yet) 🐉

Anyway! Need to read some spooky books and some psychological thrillers!!

Inspo from @colleensreading 🤍

🗡️🌬️The Knight and the Moth by Rachel Gillig

I adored this book; from the prose to the plot to the characters to the way it made me feel, this books was incredible!

I haven’t read a gothic romance and fantasy before so I really enjoyed the world building and descriptive imagery Gillig captured!!

Oh Bartholomew!! Straight on to book 2 and I have to say I think I prefer duologies to trilogies
