This week I wasn't sure whether I'd made something people truly needed. Then someone quietly covered ten copies of Before They Cut for patients they'll never meet.
I'm still taking it in.
As a nurse, I've watched patients walk into a consultation not knowing what to ask.
As a patient, I've been that person.
My hope is that ten people will now arrive with their questions written down and a little less fear.

I will always choose honesty over a miracle promise.
Physiotherapy has an important role in rehabilitation and maintaining function, but it should not be marketed as a guaranteed cure for established AVN.
Be careful with anyone promising to reverse bone death with exercises, supplements, herbs or a special treatment package.
Ask questions. Get proper assessment. Understand your options. 💛

Information can help patients ask better questions, understand their options and prepare for conversations with their healthcare team.
But not everyone who needs reliable information can afford every resource available to them.

Physiotherapy is not just massage. After hip replacement, rehabilitation should include appropriate exercises and functional training when your surgical team considers them safe. The programme must be tailored to your recovery and any hip precautions.

Without proper rehabilitation after hip replacement, a technically successful surgery can still produce a limited, painful result. This is why physiotherapy doesn’t end at discharge.
