this is what IMPACT is all about. ❤️‍🔥

equipping young adults to live like Christ, encourage one another, do life together, and impact the world as salt and light!

we had the BEST time on Sunday playing games, eating good food, getting to know new friends, and hearing the testimonies of our new directors, Jonathan and Abi, and how God has changed their lives through being apart of IMPACT.

If you missed our Sunday Community Social and you’re 18-35, join us this upcoming Friday at 7pm! Bible Study is taking place at Clancy Bros. in Mokena and we can’t wait to be together again!

Exactly one month after his little brother, our beloved Uncle Clint passed on to eternity.

I’ll never forget his laugh, the stories he’d tell about all the pranks he’s pulled in his lifetime, and the love and care he had for each member of our family.

It’s so hard to believe both him and my grandpa are gone. But to think of them reunited with each other and with Katie helps with the heart ache.

He was like another grandfather to me. He showed up to everything. Never missed a birthday, recital, graduation, or our wedding. I’ll forever be grateful for the time we had with this great man.

This time of grief is heartbreaking, but we are not hopeless. Jesus is the anchor for our souls

Ever since we were told you had days or weeks to live, I’ve been holding my breath. What a strange, yet beautiful gift it’s been to spend the last 4 weeks reminiscing on this wonderful life we’ve had together, while preparing for a life without you. Now that you’ve entered into eternal life, the peace that surpasses understanding is present, knowing you’re no longer in pain.

My Papa, GiJoe, was one of the greatest evangelists for the Kingdom of God. Every time we spoke, without fail, he’d tell me about someone he led the Lord. A stranger he met when walking his dogs, a student at the school where he worked, an employee of the store he was visiting. It didn’t matter where it was or who he was talking to, when he left his home for the day he was on a mission to tell people about Jesus. It was his calling in life. The gospel transformed him and he lived to share it with everyone he came in contact with. By God’s grace may his anointing, compassion, boldness, and love be evident in the lives of all who knew him, especially his children, grandchildren, and future generations. May we have the courage and grace to live on fire for Jesus, just like Joe Firestone.

My heart is broken by your absence, but it will be pieced back together as we walk by faith, trusting in the same God that Joe Firestone served. We wouldn’t be here today without you.
