Hi, I'm Abiele and I'm a gender advocate with a whole lot of unlearning to do 💭 ⠀
⠀
I used to center myself around the need to learn in order to become an effective part of the fight for Gender Inclusivity but little did I know that the toughest part was unlearning habits and mindsets that made me an accomplice to Misogyny and other forms of discrimination⠀
⠀
One of the most difficult things I had to to unlearn was the habit of boxing myself up into labels because I thought that complying with what society deemed acceptable of me would give me a sense of direction and clarity when it came to my goals in life but little did I know that was doing more harm than good 🤡 ⠀
⠀
I have decided to loosen up on my need to be in control of everything at every moment - and as a Capricorn that was TOUGH 🥴 and now I find myself with a more meaningful sense of direction and appreciation for life because I no longer hinder myself from trying new experiences. I started to form the habit of allowing myself to flow through life by taking it one step at a time with the company of the lessons I've learned while letting go of the experiences that weigh me down 💜⠀

I'm thankful that I continue to have a sense of stability during these uncertain times which gives me the opportunity to be able to pursue my hobbies and passion projects that have been pushed aside. I still have goals set up for myself that I pair with equal parts of commitment, motivation, and hope and I no longer beat myself up for every misstep and deviation from my plans. So to answer the question “Who are you?”, I’m a compilation of experiences and lessons but above all, I am a work in progress and I am proud the work I have done so far and will do in the future ✨⠀

We back with another make up lewk 🥴 I am lucky to have a man that’s so appreciative of the time and effort it takes for me to get ready 😩✊🏽 even luckier that he takes waaayy longer than me to get ready so I get to do this on a weekly basis 🤪 also noticed that this is also turning into a mini tour of my apartment lol welcome to my dining area. 2019 brought me to rock bottom and to #BeIt this 2020, I'm going to take that rock bottom and make it the solid foundation on which I will rebuild myself. ✨
