& the beat in 2021,
using the guitar sample from Aidan Han & Nato Kitch

4 years later & I’m releasing music from what
feels like yesterday & forever ago simultaneously.

Take It All Back … Out Now …

I made this song in 2022 about coming
a long way from how we used to be.

I planned to drop it years ago, but I didn’t have
a name that I was content with as an artist.

This song isn’t really a song I’d make at this point in my
career, just because I feel like my sound has evolved,
but I’m still proud of it & the way it feels.

I knew if I don’t drop it now, I never will.
Because my sound has matured, but I wanted this to be
out to represent the nostalgia of my life as a 22 year old.

I’m 26 now. I’ve come a long way.

I made the rough idea of this song in 2022.

I made the beat first using the guitar melody
made by Aidan Han & Nato Kitch.

4 years later, I decided to go ahead
& re-record & re-write most of the song.

I’m happy with how it captures the energy
of wanting to be someone’s cure, & their safe space.

I wrestle with perfectionism, so sometimes putting
a song out & making peace with its current version
can make me feel vulnerable,
but it’s worth doing what makes you uncomfortable.

I knew if I didn’t drop it now, I never would.

That said, enjoy this summer single.
