Llega por primera vez a Réplika Teatro el artista andaluz Manuel Rodríguez @aboutmanuel con su pieza ZERO. Una exploración poética donde el cuerpo es un lenguaje vivo y mutable, una superficie que se pliega sobre sí misma y desborda sus significados.

ZERO es aquello que precede a todo, o lo que permanece cuando todo ha cesado. Un origen y un umbral final al mismo tiempo. Fue la salida del cuerpo de mi madre, y mi entrada en este mundo. Mi boca es ese umbral donde las palabras intentan nacer. Mi garganta, mi estómago, resuenan con su fantasma. Un aliento que arde como fuego, anterior al lenguaje.

“A “ZERO”, @aboutmanuel parteix de la mort de la seva mare per explorar el misteri que connecta l’inici i el final, la vida i el no-res. A escena, el cos es converteix en un espai de transició fràgil i provisional, sostingut per la memòria, el desig i les cicatrius que deixa el pas del temps.

Amb un gran rigor físic, la peça porta al límit el cos, la veu i l’espai per construir un llenguatge visceral que apareix quan les paraules ja no són suficients. Un solo introspectiu i intens que ens convida a habitar la pèrdua, la transformació i tot allò que queda inscrit entre zero i zero.”

What does it mean to be human when humanness overflows?

This overflow does not belong to a dystopian future, but to the condition of our present. Bodies crossed by memories that erupt, by languages that exceed them, by technologies that anticipate them before they even act.

In “OTRA COSA QUE NO ES UNA CONFERENCIA”, the format unravels into an unstable space where words dissolve into gesture and meaning emerges through collision, displacement, and incompleteness.

The human is not a substance, but a relation: a practice of resistance burning at the limits of what can be said.

Here some drops from “ZERO”, my new solo performance.

“…My mouth is that threshold where words attempt to be born. My throat, my stomach, resonate with their ghost. Breath that burns like a fire, prior to language…”

This project has being created within the frame of the Master program “New performative practices” from @stockholmskonstnarligahogskola as a final degree project.

Thank you to my supervisor @darko_dragicevic for his support. Also to my peers and to all my facilitators for being a big help and inspiration during this 2 years.
