Fashion Nomads: Where Fashion Education Meets Circular Economy

Fashion Nomads is the result of an innovative collaboration between Accademia del Lusso and @manteco_official , bringing sustainability and textile innovation into the heart of fashion education.

The students of the Master in Sustainable Fashion Design took on a structured research and development journey, proving that high-level design today can only be achieved through responsible, circular, and transparent production.

By using MWool®️ fabrics and the Manteco System™️, the students explored material performance, durability, and versatility to create modular garments that can evolve, adapt, and be transformed — tackling contemporary challenges like waste reduction and climate change.

The Zero Waste Design principles and modular solutions at the core of this collection are the future of fashion: garments that are built to last and designed to fit a constantly moving lifestyle.

🌍 Fashion Nomads is a powerful statement about the future of fashion, where sustainability meets creativity.

In collaboration with @manteco_official, students from the Master in Sustainable Fashion Design present Fashion Nomads, a Zero Waste & Modular Fashion collection developed for the MANTECO Sustainable Awards.

Developed using MWool®️ fabrics and the Manteco System™️ platform, the collection explores eco-design principles such as material optimisation, modularity, constructive simplification and low-impact components.

The result is a series of garments that combine responsible design with contemporary aesthetics, translating sustainable textile innovation into concrete and replicable solutions.

This approach extends the life of a single piece, giving it multiple identities and uses.

Each garment was created with zero-waste techniques, a method where every inch of fabric is used — no scraps, no landfill, only conscious design.

@manteco_official , an Italian textile company renowned for its excellence, specializes in sustainable luxury fabrics.

The new collection, Nomads, embodies the spirit of those constantly in motion, navigating change and transition.

Each piece was designed with modularity in mind, allowing a single garment to be worn in multiple ways or even transformed into an accessory.

Na moda, sobretudo na Itália, a sustentabilidade tornou-se indispensável: e é um orgulho ver nossas alunas brasileiras explorando um conceito hoje essencial para os fashion designers.

É uma alegria compartilhar aqui a trajetória de Bruna Tognini, que durante sua graduação em Fashion Design no Istituto Marangoni Milano sempre nos revelou um olhar único para a criação!

Bruna já conquistou prêmios super importantes dentro do Istituto, como o concurso de Pierre Cardin, desenvolveu coleções marcantes com tecidos descartados de colegas de sala, e vem se aprofundando em um tema que nós valorizamos imensamente: a sustentabilidade.
