LAGOS, NIGERIA — July 31, 2026 Nigerian DJ and producer Jamie Black has officially released OGBA: Remix Pack, an eight-track remix project licensed and distributed by WeTalkSound. The project brings together seven of Nigeria’s leading electronic music producers to reimagine OGBA, the record widely regarded as the country’s biggest original Afro House anthem. Originally released in November 2025, OGBA evolved from an underground record into one of the defining soundtracks of Nigeria’s modern rave culture. Named after the popular Nigerian slang “Ogba,” a term used to describe someone exceptionally skilled or outstanding at what they do, the record has become an anthem of confidence, excellence, and presence, dominating dance floors across Lagos and steadily reaching audiences beyond Nigeria. The song has received support from some of Africa’s most respected tastemakers, including DJ Spinall, Heavy K, DJ Consequence, Aniko, and South African artist Ciza, helping introduce the record to a broader audience and further positioning Nigerian electronic music on the global stage. Building on that momentum, OGBA: Remix Pack features fresh interpretations from Tobi Peter, DJ Khalipha, Smeez & D3an, Proton, King Nonso Duke, Spenser M, and Demi Andre. Each producer brings a distinct sonic identity to the project while preserving the energy that made the original a standout record. Several of the remixes have already been previewed at some of Nigeria’s biggest electronic music events, including House of Assembly and Monochroma, where they received strong reactions from rave audiences. Beyond the music, the official artwork expands the OGBA universe with hidden Easter eggs inspired by Nigeria’s contemporary rave culture. Fans, affectionately known as Ogbaholics, are invited to uncover every reference, turning the release into an interactive celebration of the community that transformed OGBA from a song into a movement. by @aboutthehype.ng

When Solana released “Okunkun,” people started paying attention. The track established her as one of Nigeria’s most promising new voices in alternative Afro-fusion and gave listeners a reason to remember her name. Now, with “Dide,” she returns with a record that is just as compelling, but even more personal, delivering a message of resilience, hope, and faith. “Dide” means “rise” in Yoruba, and that is exactly what Solana wants you to do. Produced by Killertunes, the record pairs a dance-tempo groove with a message that settles in slowly. You move to it first. Then you hear what she is saying. Sung primarily in Yoruba, the song speaks to anyone who has ever felt worn down by life and needed a reason to open their eyes again. Solana addresses her “star”, “Ìràwọ̀ mi”, calling on it to wake up and shine. The refrain “Fo oju rẹ má sùn” (“Open your eyes, don’t sleep”) serves as both a personal mantra and a phrase you can borrow for yourself when the days get heavy. Solana doesn’t ignore the hardship; she sings about tears, about the exhaustion of being watched while you struggle, about the weight of memories that refuse to leave. But she does not stay there. She turns those moments into a prayer for strength, for healing, and for a fresh start. Killertunes complements that message with vibrant, electronic-driven production infused with contemporary African rhythms, creating a record that feels both joyful and deeply reflective. It’s the kind of song that stays with you because while your body is moving and your spirit is listening. “’Dide’ is a reminder that every setback is temporary. No matter what life brings, we can choose to rise again, trust God through the journey, and keep believing in the purpose He has placed inside us,” @solana_tii @killertunes_tii by @aboutthehype.ng
