We are so thankful for pastors who lead by example, make room for others, challenge you to grow even when it’s uncomfortable, preach the gospel without hesitation or compromise, and continually point you closer to Jesus not just through their words, but through the way they live their lives!

Thank you Pastors Abram and Becky for all that you do, both seen and unseen, for our campus and our church family! We are better pastors, leaders, and followers of Christ because of your leadership, example, and your willingness to pour into us. It is truly an honor to learn from you, serve under you, and run alongside you!

We are equally grateful for the privilege of serving alongside our incredible pastoral team for both our English and Spanish campus, and labor together to build His Church, reach our communities, and advance the Kingdom of God!

There is something so special about being surrounded by people who share the same heart, carry the same burden, and are committed to seeing God’s purpose fulfilled in and through our church.

Happy Pastor Appreciation Sunday to some of the very best! We love and honor you, Pastors Abram and Becky, and are so thankful for our co-laborers in ministry: Pastors Jose Luis and Mari, Pastors Sal and Iris, and Pastors Hector and Chely. It is a both an honor and a privilege to serve alongside each of you!

We had CHURCH today. 🔥🔥

Worship went from simply following along to ministering before the Lord.

The message hit spots of our heart that needed to be confronted. And healed.

The response of God’s people was immediate. The altar is a place where things go to die. Our flesh. Our attitudes. Whatever gets between us and the Lord.

Our church desires more of the Lord and His Presence is filling His people like manna from Heaven.

Let’s keep building @crossidpcampus for the GLORY of the Lord. Year of Glory.

Our time is NOW. ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 by @abram_gomez

Just some thoughts from one of my favorite preachers.

These lines blessed me years ago and I pray they bless you.

Feeling called to the work of the Lord?

I heard this from a preacher years ago when I first started preaching, and it has stayed with me ever since.

I thought I’d simply pass it along to another young preacher who may come across this or even a seasoned preacher who could use the reminder.

Every preacher has their own process for preparing a sermon, but the essential ingredients are typically the same: the Word, yourself, prayer, the Holy Spirit, and intentional preparation.

The process may look different from preacher to preacher, but the ingredients remain the same.

This is where you gather everything you can about your text and topic. Research the books, consult the commentaries, study the characters, and explore the original language. Dig deep. Investigate. Ask questions. Follow the details. Don’t just skim the surface, immerse yourself in the Word until you have a thorough understanding of what the text is saying.

Now, take time to think through what you’ve studied. Don’t just fill yourself with information - process it, ponder it, and meditate on it. Allow what you’ve gathered to come together with clarity and purpose. Your message needs continuity, a clear flow where every thought connects and builds upon the next. It’s not just about how much you know, but how well it all comes together to communicate one clear message.

Prayer is the glue that holds it all together. Spend time with the Lord. Stay in your prayer closet until there is a consecrated glow upon your life. This is where the heart of the Father begins to penetrate your own heart. Let His presence saturate your spirit, shape your thoughts, and ignite a holy fire within you. Don’t just fill yourself with information - fill yourself with His presence. Before you ever stand before people to preach, spend time on your knees before God.

Finally, step behind that sacred desk and preach the Word! Yield yourself completely to the Lord and allow Him to use you as His vessel. Release with boldness and conviction what He has deposited in your heart. Speak life. Declare truth. Preach with passion, authority, and anointing. Be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit and become a voice through which God can speak in that moment. You’ve s by @abram_gomez

Rather than comparing your calling and ministry to someone else’s, learn to cherish the one the Lord has entrusted to you.

Be grateful for what God has placed in your hands, and be faithful with it.

If He entrusted it to you, steward it well.

Your calling doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s to be significant in His eyes.

Today’s message was one of those I knew would be somewhat of a challenge to deliver. Some messages stir passion. Some bring burden.

Not every message from the Word of God brings excitement or celebration. Many messages confront us, challenge our thinking, call us to repentance, and exhort us to pursue righteous living. Yet, these are the very messages we need if we are to grow in spiritual maturity and become more like Christ.

Today, we launched a new series at our church, drawing from passages of Scripture that I don’t believe I’ve ever taught from specifically.

And one thing was certain: THE WORD confronted us and gave insight.

I poured oil at our campus as a symbol and a call to consecration. Last night, thousands gathered in Dallas to pray. Many in the Body of Christ are doing their part. As are we. We are working our PART OF THE FIELD and fighting for the Mission of Jesus.

Today’s message set a tone for the month. I feel my HELP coming. Set your people free Lord. @crossidpcampus taken in Cross Church IDP by @abram_gomez

HOUSTON • TEXAS

Two days of preaching and ministering for a local church. Thank you @sal_villarreal. We love you and believe in you. Traveled with a team from our church. Love what we have built and who we have discipled at @crossidpcampus.

The first night was filled with so much expectancy. I didn’t get a chance to fully minister through the Word as I was led of the Holy Spirit to minister through spiritual gifts.

The local leadership confirmed to me that what I was sharing to different individuals was accurate and timely. To God be the glory!

And in the morning session, the wisdom of the Holy Spirit was flowing as I shared on the topic of leadership and ministry. I am seeing a growing hunger from the Lord’s people on spiritual leadership and training.

There is an assignment that I can sense developing in my ministry for the coming year and season. During worship, I felt as if the Lord was speaking to my heart, and I began to write ideas and strategies. I’m simply yielding myself to Him. When He speaks, write.

Fresh oil comes from fresh surrender.

The fire of the Holy Spirit was evident these past two days.

A mantra of mine has been: “Die empty.”

To me, it means leaving on this earth everything the Lord has deposited within you.

The ideas.
The vision.
The books.
The dreams.
The assignments.
Whatever He placed in you to give.

Don’t go to the grave carrying what you were meant to release.

Write it. Build it. Say it. Create it. Obey the call.

Rob the grave of your unused potential.

So here’s your reminder:

Don’t die full. Die empty. by @abram_gomez
