Dallas, this conversation belongs in the room.

On Thursday, September 17, Coco’s welcomes Allison B. Hudson for the first release and signing of The Public Trust — a book about leadership, strategy and the responsibility that comes with communicating information people are asked to trust.

But this evening is about more than getting a signature on a book.

It’s an opportunity to meet the author, hear the stories behind the work, exchange ideas and spend an evening in conversation with people who care about leadership, community and what comes next.

Come early. Order dinner. Have a cocktail. Buy your copy. Meet Allison.

And when the signing ends at 8, you don’t have to go anywhere.

Johnny Childs takes us into R&B Night from 8 PM–12 AM.

A book launch that becomes dinner.
Dinner that becomes drinks.
And a Thursday night worth staying for.

FIFA has officially come to an end in Dallas.

Looking back, it’s incredible to think about the months of preparation, countless planning meetings, and the relationships built along the way. From collaborating with partners across the globe to welcoming international delegations, consulates, team officials, and even princesses, it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Personally, one of the greatest highlights was seeing how God placed me in Dallas at exactly the right time. Having the opportunity to establish the Joint Information Center, help build a regional communications framework, and provide crisis communications training to agencies throughout the region is something I’ll always be grateful for. It was an incredible privilege to help prepare our partners for an event of this magnitude.

To every communications, video, and photography professional across all of the host cities, many of whom I’m fortunate to call friends, you did an outstanding job. The long hours, constant coordination, and work behind the scenes did not go unnoticed. Now it’s time to take a little time for yourself. You’ve absolutely earned it.

And as for meeting with the Egyptian officials…let’s just say it became the perfect example of turning lemons into lemonade. Some of the best moments come from the most unexpected circumstances.

Thank you to everyone who helped make history. Until next time, FIFA. by @abrehudson

Relationships matter.

In public safety, some of the most important work never makes the headlines. It’s built through trust, respect, communication, and showing up when it matters.

Moments of tension can become moments of partnership when people choose professionalism over pride. I’m grateful to be part of an organization that understands that every interaction represents something bigger than ourselves.

This letter is a reminder that the relationships we build today often become the bridges we need tomorrow. by @abrehudson

Today, I had the profound honor of delivering words of remembrance and standing alongside the families of the five officers who made the ultimate sacrifice ten years ago today in Dallas.

While time cannot erase their loss, I hope they know their loved ones are not only remembered but they are our heroes. Their courage, service, and sacrifice continue to inspire those who wear the badge today.

It is a privilege to help ensure their legacy lives on. We will never forget. by @abrehudson
