So excited to announce the arrival of the newest addition to my household: an adorable baby girl weighing in at 3 lbs 12 oz!

Introducing Willow! This bundle of fur purred her way right into my heart. After finding her while at work, I have decided to keep her for myself. She will be my cat, and my parents are very kindly letting me keep her at their house until I get an apartment. Willow is the sweetest, most adorable kitten. Always making biscuits, LOVES to play and chase things, and makes just the cutest noises while playing. She does have long fur, and I can't wait to see how elegant she'll look when she grows up!

I was lucky enough to get to attend the Kentucky Derby this past weekend, with my grandma and grandpa. There just aren't words to describe what this experience was like. I know people have varying opinions about horse racing, but attending the Derby has always been a bucket list item for me.

I did have a mint julep, it was nasty, so I opted for the Oaks Lily most of the weekend. by @abri19rainey

Ashes, my sweet girl. There aren't words to describe how much I loved you, to describe the bond we had. I am forever grateful that I got 17.5 wonderful years with you, yet somehow, I find myself wishing for more time. Whenever I was going through a rough time, you were there, offering your purrs and a soft, warm hug. I guess I'm not sure where to go to seek comfort now.

I still remember the day I met you in North Dakota, how I sat on my grandma's basement stairs with you in my lap. How you purred the second I pet you. I remember how you'd purr so loud I could hear you across the house, how I'd always let you lick my hands. The way you rubbed your head against mine and the way you'd lean into my hand. The way you'd beat up Mippy and Benji even though they were younger, bigger(in benji's case), and had claws. I remember how you used to steal socks and leave them around the house.

You brought me so much happiness over 17.5 years, and today, I said goodbye to you. You were such a special kitty, and you were always my favorite hello. Now, you're my hardest goodbye. I'll miss you forever, my sweet girl. May you rest in peace across the rainbow bridge. by @abri19rainey

Had my final marching band performance today. Some of you may not know this, but in high school, I was in the marching band. Some of my favorite memories are from high school marching band, especially all the ones I made with @lanzel_meredith , as band made us the bestest and closest of friends. In fact, going to NYC ona band trip with Meredith is why I felt so comfortable asking her to spend a week with me in Chicago a few years ago.

This year, I was able to join the Screaming Eagles Marching Band at UW La Crosse. It was harder than I thought it would be, and its a chapter of my life that I am sad to see come to an end. But I wouldn't be who I am today and I wouldn't have the friends I am today without band, and I'm incredibly thankful for that. by @abri19rainey

Got to go on a trail ride with @emmacerickson tonight! She led me ride her horse, Nick, and she was on her other horse, Thor..Spirit is fine, it's just fun to ride a different horse sometimes! I definitely needed this. I apologize if I blinded anyone with how pale my legs are, it was too hot for jeans😆. by @abri19rainey

Just a glimpse into how summer 2025 has been.

Trip to Kentucky, where I saw Mammoth Cave, Churchill Downs (for the 3rd time), Louisville slugger museum (Got to hold a model of Vinnie Pasquantino's bat), toured Keeneland Racetrack where we met trainer Kenny McPeek, who's horses won the Kentucky Oaks and Derby in 2024, Toured Claiborne and Coolmore stud farms, where I met a few famous racehorses (War of Will, Justify, American Pharoah), saw a lot of Secretariat stuff, went to 3 baseball games, got a new pet fish, and just got some cool photos in general. Solid 10/10 summer. by @abri19rainey

A little glimpse into how 2025 has been. I got thinking about how my concert with Ben Barnes was exactly 4 months ago, which is crazy, and led to me posting this. Had to throw in some photos and videos from that concert, of course.

But also my trip to Alabama, the Midwest Horse Fair, and my pets. Spirit, Ashes, Mippy, and Benji (who belongs to my brother but I love him nonetheless). I saved the Benji video for last, please turn your sound on for that😂.
