Weekend is calling!!Before we get into it! I have a thought! Why do we write such long captions if people don’t even read them? Due to incredibly short attention spans, and the new age need for immediate gratification, I fear? I feel like people are so quick to keep scrolling once the initial few words of a caption show on IG. As soon as you enlarge the “entire caption”… BOOM.. they see it goes beyond a scroll… it turns into an easy choice of flight… not fight and see it through. I’m not saying you have to read EVERY piece of information in full, let alone every caption or long winded piece of writing, you do you. I’m not even telling you anything I think I’m just voicing a feeling that stems from comments, or posts I’ve seen involving this. I guess it’s just my opinion, and what I’ve noticed that’s really cool for me! One thing I noticed towards the end of my hiatus from social media as a whole, was my love for reading. I mean physical. Sometimes hard, sometimes soft…sometimes annoying to hold… pinky gets cramped or it’s just annoying whether you go from holding it with one hand, or you just go back to factory settings… and hold it with both hands. You guessed right… good ol’ fashion books. Completely fell back in love with books, and how much they give to the world. The coolest part to jumping back into books has been the conversation around them. They are cherished and loved, and so exciting to hear about from someone who enjoys them just the same. All I’m saying I guess is that books have made me enjoy reading captions even more now.… they really do tell a story most of the time, and there are so many that if you don’t like one all ya gotta do is scroll… But in this new age all people wanna do is see it. Hell, most of the kids struggle to even read in general. But this goes beyond kids, this is for people in general. We don’t read as much as we used to, and it’s such a big part of us that’s missing. We’re like a big puzzle. Each of us different of course.. We need all sorts of things to keep our bodies moving…but our brains. “She’s such an attention seeker” For so many years I’ve been afraid to be sexy, beautiful, seductive, anything that fits into that realm. When I first met @cici , I fell in love with her immediately. I fell in love with her confidence and her ability to make sexy look so good while she danced, shuffled whatever it was she embodied it EVERY TIME. Afraid somebody might call me an attention seeker, with an ego to fit. This collection as soon as I put it on gave me so much confidence. For my whole life I’ve been afraid to show my body(pushing past it of course at times but never truly loving myself enough to be confident enough to show it) For the past few years (you’d never know it but I was afraid to show my legs… afraid to wear anything but pants. This past January one of my biggest resolutions…. if that’s even what you would call it…. was to learn to embrace myself.. to be happy in my body… to not be afraid to show it for the fear that somebody might take me the wrong way.The only person I need to worry about is myself, and what I think about myself. Your body is beautiful. You should never be afraid to show it. You should never be afraid to speak kindly to yourself to give yourself the confidence to get through your day. I think it’s the society we live in that makes it difficult for women to want to express themselves for the fear that they might look like a sexual item. There’s nothing wrong with loving yourself and wanting to embody the most confident version of YOU! This collection has truly given me so much confidence, and has stripped me of the fear of what someone might think because I might “shake a little a$$” or I might wear crop tops 24/7, etc etc. So I leave you with nothing but one more point. @hotgirlshuffleclub Have a great weekend 💋 #weekendishere #cheerstotheweekend #danceweekend #thankgoditsfriday by @abrielletucker
