chillin with the domies.

endless thanks to @pigeonsplaying for putting on such a great festival. @domefestofficial was a smash.

I have so much love for the pigeons family and especially for my big brothers @dylanhinds_ and @manny_newman their mentorship throughout the years has meant the world to me.

I can’t express enough how much I appreciate the team putting their trust in me to hold down the lights for Dome Fest again, this time bigger and badder with the MA3 lite (a very sexy console for those of you non lighting folks)

thank you to @spaffordmusic @mihalimusic @sneezymusic @taukband @sicardhollowband @themotet @kendallstreetcompany @isaachaddenmusic @bigblitzband for your extraordinary sets.

and HUUUGE thank you to the goat @alexculbrethphotos for these incredible photos. taken in Domefest by @absoleu

a misty morning on Mt. Myōjingatake

after spending the night in Odawara, Japan with my friend @majestic.hiro we hoped to catch an early morning view of Mount Fuji. With heavy cloud cover shrouding the view, we diverted to this temple in the mountains nearby.

The drive to Daiyuzan Saijoji transported us into another world; mystical and ancient. As we walked through the winding forest path, we enjoyed solitude, entirely alone apart from a Japanese man in his late 60s, who greeted us with the nod of his head as he brushed water off of the hundreds of steps leading up to the temple.

The temple itself was sprinkled in magenta and lavender flowers and filled with sounds of fountains, crows, wooden chimes, and the surrounding canopy of leaves knocking and swishing in the wind.

in the words of Bashō — “A day when Mount Fuji is hidden is interesting too.”
