Elevating the brand—starting with this photo. 📸 It’s been a while since I updated my profile pic here, but it’s time to lean into the next chapter. Excited to keep pushing forward with the same dedication to quality, growth, and community. Here’s to evolving while staying true to the mission — “Love God. Love People. Sometimes self-care is selfish, and that’s OKAY 💯 Selfishness doesn’t have to be a bad thing — It can be good to be a little selfish to take care of your emotional, mental, and physical well-being. Many people who focus entirely on give, give, give end up overwhelmed, fatigued, and stressed. How can you pour into others, if you don’t fill your own cup first? 💧 #selfcare #beselfish #mentalhealth #pouringfromanemptycup #wateryourself taken in Chicago, Illinois by @abthepk

Nearly 3 months at DFSS! ✨ Since my first day at @chifamsupport , my mission has been to ensure that every Chicagoan knows about the resources available to help them thrive — Yesterday, I had the privilege of being on-site for a major announcement: the launch of Chicago’s first-ever women-focused Community Reentry Support Center. 🎉 This isn’t just a new office—it’s a safe, child-friendly space built by and for women. It addresses the unique challenges justice-impacted women face, from domestic violence support to family reunification and employment. Helping tell the stories of programs like this is exactly why I love what I do. Grateful to play a small part in uplifting the people of this incredible city. 🏙️🧡 #communityimpact #womensempowerment #reentryservices #marketing #chicagoDFSS taken in Chicago, Illinois by @abthepk

Honors, Hustle, and a Higher Calling✨🚀🎓 I’m still riding high from my Fall 2025 graduation ceremony! I successfully graduated from @sunshine_enterprises ’ 12-week Community Business Academy (CBA) with Honors! 🎉 This entire experience was transformative. Attending this celebration solidified one thing: I feel even more empowered to scale @bseapparel (my modern Christian apparel brand), with the practical, strategic knowledge I’ve gained. This next season is about to be CRAZY! 🔥 I’m incredibly appreciative of the time spent with and constructive criticism from my fellow entrepreneurs in Cohort 137, our amazing instructor Debbie Cortez, and our supportive site monitor Jacqui Sanders. The network and insights gained are invaluable. 📌 If you have a business idea or already running one on the side, the Community Business Academy (CBA) should be your next step! They empower you with the tools (budgeting, marketing, pricing, etc.), support, and a network to grow a real, sustainable business. I can’t wait to see where God takes BSE Apparel, as we put this new foundation to work. 💪🏽✨ #bseapparel #businessgrowth #christianapparel taken in Chicago, Illinois by @abthepk

Service is the foundation of empowerment ✨ Spent an incredible Saturday in Ravenswood with my fellow members of the @metroboardcul — We teamed up with @nourishinghopechi to pack home delivery boxes full of produce, pantry staples, and dairy for our neighbors in need. The @thechiurbanleague ‘s mission of economic empowerment isn’t just about policy—it starts at the grassroots level. Ensuring our community has food security is the first step toward equity and opportunity. Proud to put in the work with this crew! 🍅📦💪🏾 #nulyp #nourishinghopechi #endhunger taken in Ravenswood, Chicago by @abthepk
