Giving back, one donation at a time. ❤️

Today, our colleagues at ABUS HQ in Wetter are coming together to donate blood and make a difference for others.

Because sometimes, a small act can have a big impact. Thank you to everyone who is taking part and supporting this important cause! 🩸

A smile to go, please! 😊

For World Smile Day, we set up a little surprise box in the reception area at our headquarters in Wetter (Ruhr), where our colleagues could pick a small treat to brighten their day.

What they didn’t know: each surprise came with a little message, ranging from “We’re happy you’re part of the ABUS Family” to “You’re doing great!”

And what happened next? We captured it all on camera: curious looks, spontaneous smiles, heartfelt laughter – and lots of little moments showing what a few words of appreciation can do.

Because that’s what today is all about: passing a smile on. 😊 by @abus_group

Work hard, play together. 🏐

After a day at work, it’s time to switch off and enjoy some time together. Every week, our colleagues meet up for a round of volleyball – bringing team spirit from the workplace to the court.

Because being part of ABUS is about more than just working together. 🫶

From a non-runnable Simson to a true ABUS one-of-a-kind! 🏍️🔧

What started with a few ideas back in March turned into an impressive project driven by creativity, craftsmanship and a lot of passion.

Nils, Marcel, Nico and Kai designed, developed and built countless details themselves – from custom-made and 3D-printed parts to an ABUS-embroidered seat, an ABUS ignition key and Bravus Pro lever cylinders integrated into the side cover locks.

And that’s where the ABUS spirit really comes to life: with support from different departments, including Construction and Marketing, as well as regional partners and sponsors, the project became a true team effort. 🤝

After successfully passing its technical inspection, the ABUS Simme made its debut at the SIM MEET Simson gathering and our Grill & Chill employee event – receiving plenty of positive feedback.

A great example of what happens when ideas, passion and teamwork come together. ❤️

Three company runs, one shared spirit: Together, we move! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

From Sachsen to Rheinland-Pfalz and NRW, numerous ABUS colleagues have laced up their running shoes over the past few weeks and hit the road together. It wasn’t just about the distance or the time, but above all about team spirit, staying active and enjoying the experience together.

Because togetherness connects us, also beyond the workplace. 🫶

🚲 Cycling to work

For the international Car-Free Day, we’re taking a closer look at a sustainable alternative for the daily commute: cycling. For some of our colleagues, getting to work by bike has long been part of their everyday routine – whether on a classic bicycle or with the support of an e-bike.

Project Manager Alexander Rose regularly cycles to the office: “I enjoy cycling to work because it allows me to do something for myself in the morning and clear my head – and with the facilities available on site, ABUS makes commuting by bike particularly easy.”

Christian Donaj, from Marketing Management Sponsorships, also cycles from Bochum to Wetter at least once a week. Once he arrives at the ABUS Headquarter, he heads straight for the shower before starting his day fresh and ready for his first meeting. 🙌

To make cycling part of everyday working life, our employees at all German locations have the opportunity to lease a bicycle or e-bike through ABUS. At our Headquarter in Wetter (Ruhr), we also provide covered bike parking, e-bike charging stations, lockers, changing rooms and showers. 🚲🔌

For Alexander, Christian and many other colleagues, the daily commute therefore regularly means two wheels instead of four. 🚴

How do you get to work in the morning?

Grill’n’Chill 2026 ☀️

A few weeks ago, we celebrated our Grill’n’Chill summer party at our ABUS site in Pfaffenhain! What a great day it was! Together with our colleagues and their families, we enjoyed a fantastic day full of fun, food and great company.

Delicious BBQ and ice cream, slushies, a smoothie bike, a bouncy castle, firefighting exercises with our local fire brigade, as well as volleyball, football and bubble soccer – there was something for everyone.

One special highlight: Our apprentices presented the Simson they restored and customized in the ABUS look. To officially put it to the test, our management team took on a special challenge and had to navigate a course on the bike. 🛵

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and made our Grill’n’Chill such a great day! ❤️ by @abus_group

A couple of weeks ago, our beekeeper Harald bottled this year’s delicious ABUS honey, freshly harvested from our very own bees at the ABUS Campus.💛

From busy bees to sweet moments: we’re proud to have our very own little ABUS honey harvest! 🍯✨

Big thanks to Harald for taking such good care of our buzzing team! 🐝 by @abus_group

A few weeks ago, on a Wednesday, we were delighted to welcome around 40 cyclists to our ABUS site in the Ore Mountains as part of the European Peace Ride’s traditional Wednesday Ride. 🚴

During a well-deserved stop, everyone had the chance to recharge with fresh fruit cups and finger food before getting back on their bikes. 🍎🥪

What connects us? The belief that sport brings people together and creates a sense of community – sending a strong message of peace and solidarity.

We are proud to support the European Peace Ride as a sponsor and are grateful for the great partnership and the moments we share. 💙

Wishing everyone many more great kilometres – together for peace! 🕊️ by @abus_group
