I'm facing the wrong way cause that's my speciality, the creeks behind me 😄
Going to try and get myself to learn videography and colour grading.

Hey everyone,
I wish you all are doing great. Bit of a sad write up.
My chapter with the EF ended abruptly and in a chaotic way. I didn’t think I would have had to let it go this soon. Priorities change, Responsibilities grow and more so having to constantly hear your parents hate your hobby is heartbreaking. I lived with that for 2 years. Taking on a huge project and having to hear your close family just shit on your hobby day in and out I got fed up of it. My mom gave me a deadline to clear the garage by the last week of June and it was final. I don’t have enough money to keep the car at a rental unit. I couldn’t keep the car at a friend house as them knowing I still own it would be more problems. At the end of the day I did this to please my parents more so than anything as i’m still with them. Do I regret doing all of this, no. I loved the first year wrenching on the car and knowing my spark for the passion was alive. But this last year it became more so a chore of working on the car than enjoyment i used to have.
I’ve got so many valuable memories and experiences working on my civic that ill always have with me. I do plan to come back to my hobby but that won’t be any time soon. The next few years I can dream to. All the friends I could meet in person and all the new friends i’ve found on this platform was because of this car. Thank you everyone for the good memories. Until next time.

The current project on hand:

So we are jumping a bit to present time from my previous post. I’ve managed to wrench quite a lot in the past 2 weeks.
After I found out that I had stripped the threads for the tensioner in the block, yes I could have bought a helicoil kit and fixed it but an amazing deal popped up and I couldn’t stop myself.

In the 2 weeks I pushed the wiring harness out, dropped the motor and separated it, dropped the front subframe, removed the whole suspension out and currently have cleaned up the new to me motor for preparation for gaskets and seals. Also in the process I bought a table so I could stay organized in this chaos.

The motor in question. A D16Z6 from a 1995 eg si. It’s a little dirty but nothing that elbow greese can’t fix. It’s got 200psi on 2 cylinders and 210psi on the other 2. So it’s quite healthy but oily from that timing section area. I spent about a good 2 hours cleaning it and I still have a little more to do.

Last week I ordered seals and gaskets from RockAuto and they all finally came in. Everything externally on the Z6 seals and gaskets wise and I bought all new
suspension bushings and ball joints and new speedo cable and clutch cable so they aren’t stretched ‘-‘

The last slide shows my hoard of parts i’ve bought and saved over the last 10 or 11 months. I found a Spoon Sports header for the d series and little to no information exists and it’s very likey its a fake, but I think it’s cool to have and I acknowledge it’s a rep. All these parts I plan to put on the car after I get the Z6 running 🥰 they are mainly chassis rigidity related and suspension or exhaust.

The mods list:
Spoon Sports Header
Front, rear and hatch Strut bar
Front and Rear lower rigidity bars
A cat-back exhaust no name
Skunk 2 LCA’s
ASR Aubframe brace
PIC 3-way adjustable Front coilovers i believe 12k spring rate
Tokiko Blues rear shocks wiht Ebach springs 10k i believe

I did have a timeline set for myself but with college and full time work and personal stuff it’s probably going to get delayed. Just have to stay motivated through the late nights.

Thanks for reading and have a good one.

August 19, 2021

The day that kicked off everything. My first time wrenching on any car and the task at hand; manual swapping my sweet honder here.

Every week i’d take off something, wrench here and there and slowly but surely the day came where after 2 or 3 days of trying to remove the transmission i learned there was a bolt from the driver side that needed to be undone 🤣🤣🤣 September 10, 2021 the auto transmission was RELEASED from its camber and i threw it out 😤

Just as the memes say i quit like the average honda man’s seating position 🤣 i wanted to see how it was and yeah i’m not driving like that 😅

During this process, we moved houses so i towed the car to our new home and began working on it again. after a couples of months had passed, the manual transmission finally was put in on January 6, 2022.

In that following week I started to tackle the pedal situation and learned that the whole steering column needs to be taken apart and put to the side. Was challenging but we did it. Another item i really wanted was a manual cluster with the rev gauge, it was a must and I am so glad i did, it cleaned up so nice :D

Little did i know i still had a lot of small fixes that i needed to do in order for this car to run and that won’t be for a few more months had passed.

Hope your all looking forward to your weeknd! I know i am :P

Keep the EF’s alive and enjoy the process.

Let’s get this story written in stone starting today :)

June 12, 2021

I worked so hard for a few months and saved up for my first ever car. I’ve always had a soft civic hatchbacks for EK’s specifically but I saw a EF drive down one day and I just knew I had to own one 😆 few dead ends later this deal shows up!

1990 ED6 - 105k kms all original (or it was hmm) it got professional resprayed champion white and is bone stock 🥰
I didn’t know at the time it had a JDM d series in it but i was eager to buy it and get started. I was and still am excited 😊 I got it for $3k.

Got it towed home and instantly knew the auto had to go as it miss shifted. My hunt for manual parts started that same week 😂

Boy was I in for a ride, and I am so glad I did what I did and I would do it all over again 🤍

Keep the EF’s alive and enjoy the process
