Some pieces are simply too charming to let go. 🥚

This vintage egg chair belonged to our client’s mother, making it a piece worth holding onto.

When it arrived at our workroom, the original foam had deteriorated into powder, but underneath it all, the fiberglass shell was still in excellent condition.

We rebuilt the cushioning from the inside out and finished it in beautiful Allure Leather, giving this little classic a new chapter while preserving everything that made it special.

Good bones. New leather. Plenty of life left. ♡

These were picked up today and we miss them already 🙄 by @abysupholstery

We don’t just bring swatches to the table, we bring our clients to the source. Every fabric and cushion is tested in person, where they meet the craftspeople bringing their pieces to life (plus the real boss, Milo). by @abysupholstery

Calling on our designers, partners, and extended community, we’re currently hiring an upholsterer with cutting and sewing experience at Aby’s Custom Upholstery. If someone comes to mind, we’d greatly appreciate the referral! by @abysupholstery

Silken in a rich blue, almost violet. by @abysupholstery

We love this lineup. Clean, neutral, and effortlessly classic. The kind of pieces that don’t need to try too hard but always feel right at home. They bring a sense of balance to a space, easy to live with and even easier to love over time. Sent out for delivery and ready to be enjoyed just as they should be. Always grateful for the hands behind the work. by @abysupholstery

Fresh cushions for a unicorn chair ✨
Print from @quadrillefabrics, striped piping from @samuelandsons (CT-61106 · 16 Poppy), such a joyful combo.

Our client is now on the lookout for a matching chair (a familiar story around here). These little “one-of-one” finds are what make homes feel personal and collected. by @abysupholstery

Our first delivery of the year 🤍 Grateful for the trust our clients place in us and the work we get to do because of it. by @abysupholstery

Some pieces carry more than fabric and wood, they carry whole histories.
This client trusted us with his grandmother’s chair, a family heirloom that traveled from Chicago in the 1950s, through generations, moves, and memories.

Restoring it wasn’t just upholstery… it was honoring a legacy. Fresh channeling, new tacks, strengthened framing, and a deep green tapestry brought this treasured piece back to life.

These are the projects that remind us why we do what we do. 💚 Thank you, Ross, for letting us be part of your family’s story. by @abysupholstery

Taking in the morning sun!!! Hard to capture the beautiful brown with the warm hue of the morning light. But WOW what a piece! by @abysupholstery

Art meets comfort.
We reupholstered this Jonathan Adler lounge chair in a hand block-print inspired fabric, and the pairing of blue and gold is pure magic. One of our favorite transformations yet. 🤩 by @abysupholstery
