For my first carousel, I’d like to dedicate it to the wildlife/animals I’ve shot and to the man who taught me how to capture them—my mentor, the late great Gary Parker. 🕊️🤍 Man. I genuinely don’t know where to begin. Gary was both one of the best humans in the world and one of the greatest photographers to ever live. 🫂 For those that don’t know, Gary had (& his family still does) one of the largest and most diverse photography portfolios in the industry. Which basically meant he was RENOWN for shooting anything & everything really fucking well. (Flex) But Gary’s true talent—or rather, his true passion—showed through when shooting animals/creatures. 🐱🐶 For some reason, animals just loved him. It’s like he could understand them and they understood him. And his photographs were brilliant not just because of the animal, but because he told a story with them. 🤍(See photos on slide 12) And idk if his magic rubbed off on me, but after apprenticing for him, I started gaining some talent for shooting animals too. I ended up in wild scenarios, like with a street monkey, eating a lollipop! 😅 After Gary passed this year, I decided to pick up my camera again after 10 years. And for whatever reason, all I’ve been shooting is wildlife. It’s like they’ve been finding me and bringing my talent back to life. 🥺 Thank you for the magic juju, Gary. I hope I can continue the art of storytelling with the little creatures you loved so much. Love you & miss you forever. 🤍 #photography #photographer #garyparkerphotography #wildlifephotography taken in Big Basin Redwoods State Park by @ac.steezy

THROWIN FITS & FACTS 📠 Driscoll, controlling one third of the US berry market, is facing a lawsuit for marketing themselves as a “safe” brand while their berries allegedly tested positive for at least 8 nasty pesticide compounds - aka forever chemicals. Also the county Driscoll is centered in, has hella high stats for pediatric cancer. WE WANNA EAT BERRIES WITHOUT GETTING CANCER WTF 🤬 Check my bi0 to sign petition to support driscoll workers strike ✍️ FUCK ALL PESTICIDES 🖕 THROWIN FITS & FACTS 📠 Over 60% of the US is in a drought & AI Data Centers continue to steal our water 🤬 Of the 809 planned datacenters, 517 are in locations that have been in drought conditions throughout the past year. On average, one data center uses 440 million gallons of water a day! Check out my bi0 to sign petitions against data centers ✍️ PROTECT OUR WATER 💦 THROWIN FITS & FACTS 📠 The Wash. post reports 66% of Americans describe the cost of groceries as unaffordable. The Trump administrative SNAP cuts has left over $4.7 million food insecure, & according to the USDA, food prices are up 34.6% since 2019. 🤬 Why are we even paying for food?? In 2021 the UN voted to declare food as a human right- the only 2 countries that voted against this was the US & Isntreal. 🖕 MAKE FOOD FREE 👊 THROWIN FITS & FACTS 📠 The diarrhea lettuce from hell 🫩 Taylor Farms, one of the world’s largest producers of salads, (also a greedy industrialized agri-corp) was at the center of 2,700 cases of a parasite-causing infection. Know for a shady history of poor sanitation standards & worker protection violations it’s not a shock that the corporation had a massive slip up. With federal cuts to FDA, USDA, CDC, and other regulatory programs we will likely continue to struggle in managing & preventing disease outbreaks through our industrialized food supply. 🤬 STOP CORPORATE FARMING 👊 THROWIN FITS & FACTS 📠 Farmer Cesar Mora, finds himself stuck in a legal battle with a massive corporation Giumarra Brothers Fruit Co. They claim he violated their exclusive rights to sell or distribute his white nectarines, to the point where they demanded he let 100,000 lbs of nectarines (45k kg by @ac.steezy
